View Full Version : A-Hole dog clawed paint!!

So, as the title states; my dipshit dog jumped up on my aunt's new van today & left 8 claw scuff marks in the clearcoat. I don't think it's very deep at all & it's really just a superficial thing but of course she's just freaking now about having me get it fixed.
I'm sure that this must have happened to someone before so I'm asking for any advice on how I might be able to buff these marks out. Good products; buffer pads; any information would be greatly appreciated!

Scratch remover can easily take that out. I use mothers. It's like $6 at crappy tire.

^Ive used that stuff with a little rubbing compound. works great removed the light scratches I had on my fender and door. Good Luck!

So just use the scratch remover & then rewax the area? Power buffer or by hand?

Try Scratch Remover, and a wax product like Turtle Wax (has some polishing agents, not just a gloss enhancer).
Firmly hand buff the area (better control).
Rubbing Compound is too harsh I think. There is a polishing compound.
You can use the polishing compound, then wax it afterwards, if the first method doesn't work.
Do it in steps
Can repeat steps.
If you can get it out with this method, it's better than repainting it; original paint is always best.
