'88i, with a hole in the muffler thank god. They didn't notice it. It most surely helped me passed. My numbers were good except for HC which were high, but I know the car runs a little rich always. Always has. The test went into 'Second Chance' mode but then passed almost right away, so it was a close one.

HC limit 60 result 55
CO% limit 0.33 result 0.09
NO ppm limit 675 result 66

curb idle
HC limit 200 result 26
CO% limit 1 result 0.01

Dilution was 15.1 and 14. I wonder what the limits for dilution are.

Two more years of freedom for this baby, yay!

etest time is always the most stressfull time of year for e30's. Part of the reason I bought an 86. Congrats Jay and I forgot to apologize about the line bender really sorry I didn't return it.

its so effen stressful. and no shops cheat, at ALL. I guess after dumping $40Gs or whatever for the dyno they wouldn't want to risk losing their permit to test.

anyway, it looks like the 'hole in the muffler' is the only way to cheat. and cheat I did, oh yes. I took a look today: the hole is about the size of a grapefruit. Its starting to sound pretty damn good.

Yah Sunoco 94 ultra & 3 - 4 small bottles of Gas Line Antifreeze does the trick for these older models.....:-)
