Hi Everyone,

The car in question has a snapped timing belt. Happened while doing about 60km/hour so the motor is toast. Lots of good parts on the car. Tires are almost brand new, US Ellipsoid headlights, rust free body panels.

The car is currently at Lakeside Motors. Not looking to part out.

If anyone is interested in the whole car, please message me here or call 647-588-6184.

I would like $500 but No Reasonable Offer Will be Refused.

Thanks,
Bjorn.

Can you describe how much rust on the entire thing?

Snapped timing belt means the engine is cooked right? How much would do m20 (e) motors go for?

Is it 5spd?

You can get something for $500 or less.

There's a guy parting out an IX with my rebuilt head and 272 cam, someone should lowball him for $100, he doesn't even know what he has.

It means that at the least, there was piston to vavle contact.
Best Case Scenerio, you need new vavles or a used head. (among, headgasket job, headbolts, etc.)

Worst Case, there is a hole in the piston. Engine needs a rebuild, or find another engine.

m20b25s are pretty reasonabily priced, but with labour it adds up.

Labour i'm not too woried about, i'd do it myself. I'm just wondering if i should scrap the big 4x4 for my winter beater and pick up somethin with a bit more FUN.

Are the "E" motors hard to come across or what. Are they significantly better on fuel than the regular M20's are?
