Selling my long time (purchased NEW from Tirerack) winter wheels, as I now have an E36 to plow the road with.

- 14x6" Fittipaldi Monolithics (polished finish), no spacers needed, no rings needed. Built to E30 spec. No bends.
- 185/70/14 Viking Snowtechs (stock height, narrower for snow). T-rated high-performance tires, purchased new in January '07, taken off the car in March '07. Basically brand new.

Asking $500 or best offer. Please PM me.

Great tires - I drove through 3 feet of snow with them! They're so predictable and offer great traction.

hmm, how predictably can an e30 drive in 1 meter of snow on any tires?

j/k ;)

I drive a RWD Volvo in the winter - I haven't driven the e30 in the winter for over 5 years.

When I did drive the e30 in the winter I found it extremely predictable - the car gives great feedback. The Volvo's just as capable - maybe slightly more so because of the extra weight - but is more numb and less responsive. The short story is I'd have no hesitation driving an e30 in any winter storm as long as it had great snow tires - like these - and a stockish suspension.

i hear you on predictability. Last winter i got very confident with low speed drifting my 325e-auto on one of the best winter tires available.
My confidence quickly disappeared when the car sent me into a drift at 100km/h on a snow covered highway :)

e30s with proper tires are great winter beaters, just as long as you don't go very fast (on a winter scale of course)
the acura integra i had after, was nowhere near as much fun

Cool, no rush, my friend needs a set, and they are going on bottlecaps. Two civics on bottlecaps on one driveway = win.
