Great-looking E30. Some medium-distance shots will help potential buyers realize what a beauty this really is. Good luck with the sale, hope you get a good price for it!

guess no longer pending as the seller backed out

my friend told me about the smoke show the car gave from under the hood while running, just as they were about to finalize the deal.

has the coolant system been fixed? did the engine overheat?

bizzertour

no the engine did not overheat.all it was was a hose clamp loose that pop off,, but you knew that right. To bad he got me to a very good price.

good or bad price, my friend and you had a mutual agreement, which you chose to bail on when the time came to complete the transaction - not the way to conduct business IMO.

Don't really mean to be hard on you or be judgemental, but i think your potential buyers should be aware

and no, i did not know it was just a clamp as i was not there and not familiar with this car. What i know though is that coolant cools engine, no coolant in running engine = no cooling. No cooling at operating temp (about 90degC) = overheat, overheat = warped head, should i continue?
By no means i claim to know the current state of the car, and not saying that the head is warped, but given the facts - it's a possibility, isn't it?

I have a lot of friends among max members, and do believe they should know what they are getting into.

I dont know what the mutual agreement was, but i dont think your friend was intrested in the car from the get go.
I actually Physically had the motor compression/leak tested before it went in.
I know how chris takes care of his car and he wont even drive the car if he has a signal light out SERIOUSLY!
the car has been well taken car off and who ever buy it at the price its a steal.

I dont think it was very smart for your freind to back out of a sale because of an overfill hose which came loose if he was really intrested, he would have brought the car to a mechanic and have it inspected fully.

Alex google should hire u.

BTW Good Luck on the SALE Chris i hope the car goes to a good Home.

Mike, please don't take it personally. Everyone knows bimmersport is a great firm (remember who converted my car, and who i come to when i need work done on mine) and i have no doubt that all hoses were firmly attached after the conversion was completed, which was sometime before the hose popped off. So anything could have happened between those two points in time.

If my friend wasn't interested in the car from the get go, he wouldn't have wasted his time as he is a very busy guy. I've been friends with the guy for about 7 years now, he won't lie to me. My friend didn't back out of the deal because of the hose coming loose, they've mutually adjusted the price based on the incident and struck an agreement. He really looked forward to receiving the car after the agreement about the price and time of delivery was made, but was let down. This in turn had ticked me off enough to tell the true story, as i initially suggested getting this car to my friend, so i felt bad.

sorry, didn't get the google joke

You chat too much in peoples for sale thread.

The seller can back out, change his mind, if there was a deposit made as long as it was given back i dont see a problem. If there wasn't a deposit made, you have even less reason to be posting your "version" of the truth.
btw, don't reply, create a new thread in feedback section, don't ruin his thread more than you already have.

Bizztour: Sorry for posting in your forsale thread. Goodluck with the sale.

and that something that prevented you from "not chatting" on the same thread and using PM, while telling me what to do, is ...

Thank you for the valuable contribution Trevor. I guess you have no concept of giving and keeping your word, which is not surprising giving my experience dealing with you in the past.
