Yeah had it Monday by noon :D

runs great, but inline with my luck it needs some more tweaking..

^ funny how a half to 1inch in piping diameters can shift your powerband higher (hp/ tq) :huh?:

pretty sure thats from the turbo to the intercooler..

yup, gonna try anyway's ...
brakes are down there, but who needs those (stay behind me!) :D
got a check engine on that comes & goes with gas or lack of ....

really worrysome is my Rad Fan (that was suppossed to be changed to electric)
its kinda wobbling & making noise i think.... worried about it failing..

big pain to go electric??? I know there was a kit on uuc (iirc)

It's very easy provided your electric AC fan still works. Just need the temp switch from a M44 or a M3 plug & play (may have to shave a plastic nubby off the switch). Cooler T-stat wouldn't hurt either.

I don't know if they make a kit for your car specifically, but Zionsville makes a wicked kit for the E39, and I'm pretty sure they make one for your car. It's their superduty cooling system. All aluminum, no plastic. Two speed electric fan. Larger capacity Rad etc. Plus it looks pretty.*mw*

hmm have you done it before..? willing to help? cause Im clueless!
i could get temp switch tomorrow..
and my ac worked fine before some dudes leaked it all out on me (way back)

also tempted to see if cdn tire has any of those Ate 'slotted rotors' for my car too..
my bro had those on his e30, they lasted.

Oh so what can happen if the fan fails besides overheating..? flying blades into rad??

Read here to see what happens when the fan goes...
Hole in hood, and thousands of dollars of parts destroyed under the hood. Not pretty

Yes Smashed323 and I did the fan delete mod as part of the repair from his head on.
You see that switch (seonsor/electrical connector) in your pic on the rad right above your K&N. that's it, unscrew it and put in your new one and it'll turn on your AC fan and cool your car.
& to remove the fan it's just one nut to turn counter clockwise ( not a typo it's revearse thread).
Finding the cooler T-stat would be the hardest part but IMO not needed this time of year.
I'd be happy to do it with you, although I couldn't do it before the show this weekend.

thanks for the info's: just wanted to update...
I got everything i needed to go to ac/electric fan (temp switch, 32mm socket)

Hey whered my aux Fan go (no longer on car)

so i went to bav without doing anything or changing it :( then my turbo died.
got the new/rebuilt turb put in (zero cost) and a few touching pipes sorted
they were touching & caused mad vibrations.
Oh i eventually found my aux fan.. will get on that soon..
but non operating heater fan will be sooner :D
