German import. I am the second owner. Move and fiance's return to school forces sale of one of my toys. I also have a 1992 BMW M5. Both are German imports and both are 3.8

1992 BMW M5 Touring (6/92)

- Daytona violett, black leather (manual seats), just over 188k km, AUC with climate control, EDC, dual sunroofs, rear nets, 6CD changer, factory keyless entry, factory hidden trailer hitch, great shape as it was owned by a childless/petless middle aged couple who own 4 BMW motorcycle dealerships in Germany, most maintenance history with car, brakes/tires/rear bushings/swaybar endlink done within last 10k km. All options work incl. AC.

New (within last 100km):

- all fluids changed (will be done on 9/22/07)
- waterpump/fan clutch/fan shroud (will be done on 9/22/07)
- O2 sensor
- vacuum lines
- fuel/oil/air filters
- Bosch Y6DC plugs
- intake boot (waiting for part from dealer)
- tranny mounts (will be done on 9/22/07)

I believe that the car is the only M5T in Canada. Asking $25k cert & e-tested

1992 BMW M5 (3/92)

- 3.8, Daytona violett, grey cloth/alcantara interior, 133k km, all options work incl. AC. Factory keyless entry. Most service history incl. Great shape with new plugs/filters/fluids. Recent tires and brakes.

Pics of the sedan will be up next weekend.

Asking $22k obo cert and e-tested.

I would like to sell one of them. This does not mean that I have to sell them or am desperate to do so. Please note that the fan shroud is gone as it needs to be replaced and will be once the waterpump is in.
Pics taken today 9/16/07.

E-mail me at 16vg60@gmail.com if interested. M5T is in Barrie and can be seen anytime after 5pm on weekdays.

I realized that when I was taking the pics. Thanks for pointing it out though. That will be corrected this weekend when all the other work is done.

If this was next summer/fall, I'd prolly be coming to look at it.
Good luck, I love this car, even though, once again, that is a heck of a shitty colour.

MAX has a trend with regards to $$$$$. I think your price is outside of the MAX general envelope of spending for a vehicle of this vintage. Just my opinion.

Bro, why not try the Autotrader? You'll get a wider audience than you will here.

You're car is immaculate. I wish you success with your sale.

Car will be getting a brand new exhaust $$$ once out of winter storage. I want to buy something else, but have to sell one of my cars first. I will entertain reasonable offers over $21k

Exhaust is waiting to be installed, and I got another car so my fleet of 5 cars needs to be reduced. Offers over $21k are welcome

I'm not too keen on selling this one, as I doubt I'll see another one in the GTA.

You'll start seeing them next year, Nurburgring 3.8s no less. It's getting to be a really tough car to sell since its performance is behind some Japanese family sedans today. Right now is kind of the point where you either keep it forever or unload it really fast (and I think it's a little past the prime time to do that). If I were you I'd whore it out on every M5 board and mailing list. There are a lot of wanna-be owners on there and it doesn't get much better than your cars in Canada (in the US, they can grey market '95s, lucky bastards). IMO you're all but wasting your energy on generic classifieds and BMW boards (unless you're willing to sell it for what any regular 16 yr old BMW fetches).

Like I said I don't really care if I sell this one or not. As for Nurburgring package, it is already incl. on the Touring (wider rear wheels, bigger rear swaybar and the switch). The switch can be installed on any 3.8 as they all had EDC and all you have to do is pop out the blank in the dash and connect the switch as the wiring is already there.

A really good M5T is in the 9-10k euro range ($14.5k-$16k CDN), add to that shipping (it went up by $600 as of Mar. 1 due to cost of fuel), duty/taxes/fees, document translation etc. and you are at $20k easy. Try it for yourself and you will see that importing one is not really hard, but involves a lot of hassles, running around and a few days of your time.

My car has had all the issues taken care of:

- waterpump/fan clutch/shroud
- all fluids
- guibo & center bearing
- timing chain tensioner
- valve adjustment and tune up
- intake boot
- all front end pieces aside from struts
- rear subframe mounts
- new exhaust
- hood/tailgate glass struts
- 02 sensor
- resonance flap valve
- tires
- brakes
- tons of other little odds and ends

The parts above are over $5k alone not including labor
