Ok, i understand that HID headlights are measured in color temperature.

I am finding that my 8000k are really blue, almost purple, but maybe not as bright as the 6000k lights. Does this sound right? I read somewhere that when you get into 8000k it gets pointless, and you are actually decreasing the brightness factor and increasing the blue/purple color instead.

Anyone have thoughts on this?

Does switching to 6000k mean just bulbs? or ballasts as well.

Just bulbs can be replaced.

I can get you any colour/socket bulb you want, PM me for pricing.

8000K is still way brighter than halogen, but if you want maximum light output i'd go 4300. 6000K is a happy medium

I have 4700k's. They are perfect IMO, but I sometimes wish I got 4300's. 6000 & 8000's look tacky and very "aftermarket" if you know what I mean.

Make sure you verify the aiming patterns of your lights. Especially if you have projectors.

Now that is something i need to know more about. I do have euro lights on there, with the parking lights and projectors and whatnot. Also, my non-functioning headlight trim adjuster may be the culprit.
