mk :> He was asking $36,900 brought him down to $33,500.

I was looking fro the longest time to find one with a complete sport package. This one is a late model 98. Put on the road in april of 98 so it has teh updated sport pack consisting of the sport seats, and updated rims, shadowline, and suspension. The problem I found with alot of 97/98 is that the moment it had a 6 speed people were calling them sport packs. This one though has pretty much all the options.

lover :> Try this link for the brochures.. http://bimmer.freeservers.com/BMW/Images/

Can't wait. Picking it up on Friday... Any TO boys want to meet for a photo shoot before I leave for the drive back to Montreal?

Thanks SOL.. I got some immediate things I have planned on the car, simple things like tints, SS Kit, Alu pedals/shift knob, and angel eyes. The M5 bumpers are in the list as well, but with a second kid on the way need the money for more important stuff, so the kit has to wait.

As I live in Montreal, I really could say much about that. I had very mature conversations with the owners, and did a full inspection on the vehicle before I actually signed for it. To me the car was mint. I check the body panel bolts for stripping, checked to see if there was any accident damage on the vehicle, nothing that I was told to check for was there. All electrical items functioned perfectly. The toolkit was missing the pliers, he took it of another 5 sries and gave it to me. Passed safety and emissions with excellent marks.. Other than that, if anything happens within the next 36 days, he's still responsible for it.

The car is going in on Monday to my BMW dealership for the boomerang install, and inspection and he knows if they find anything he has to fix it.

What experience did you have to give you that impression.. I'd like to know..

BTW, the color looks 10 times better in person than in the photo.

Currently I'm paying $1380 tax included for a $500 deductible on both collision and fire/theft/vandalism. It also includes free rental and additional liability coverage.

I think thats a good deal. BTW, I'm 32, married, no accidents or lost points, and have a multi-vehicle discount...

Your issurance should dramatically drop when you turn 25, and again when you get married....

i was lookin into a 540i before i got my 328i.. and the insurance was like 5400 for me ( 22 no tickets . no accidents ) had to go with the 328i which was 3400 to insure...STILL DAMN EXPSENSIVE compared to your $1300 for insurance

328, $33,500 does not include our horendous sales tax. The final ticket proce was $38,7~~. Which is still considerably less than pretty much all the other 98's and some 97's with low mileage. You can find some 540's going for 24,000-27,000 but they all have over 150K Kms. Plus this one is a late model 98, put on the road in April of 98, and one of the few 540's on trader, and hebdo (trader Quebec) that have complete sport packs which include the seats, xenons, and the optional 17's. Plus it was the only Montreal Blue for sale in either province which made me want to snap it up even faster.

SOLDO, even though there is a significant decrease in insurance when you get married its almost half of what the rebate is when you turn 25. Just for an example, when I was 24 I was paying $1,500~ for a Corrado, but when I turned 25 it went down to $1,000~, and when I got married it went down to $850. I sold it because my wife could not drive manual, and picked up a family car, a Mazda 626. I currently pay $600 on the Mazda.

I got married about a month before turning 25. I waited for my birthday, called my insurance broker, and the price was automatically chopped in half. Woohaaaa!!

ADDED: By the way, Greco540, that's a very very nice car. Félicitations!

I like the color, and its great you got that deal. After putting all the mods and m5 kit, would you ever think about droping a SUPERCHARGER. Supercharged 540i is ****ing sick.

///M3Boy28, if I was 22 I probably would, kust like I did to my Corrado when I was 22, spent almost as much as it cost me in mods. I'm very happy with it as it is and personally I think it really doesn't need those unecessary engine mods, its fast enough already. Yes they are extremely sick and fast but I'm more in a cruising state right now than a racing state. Like I tell my younger cousins in the states (1 has a 97 M3, and the other a Porsche Boxter S) you get more stares cruising by a bunch of chicks than speeding by them.

I'll most probably get the car cosmetically to where I like it even more, but mechanically, it'll probably stay stock.

Niko, thanks for the comments. It truely has me by the cohones, as a moment doesn;t go by where I'm trying to find some errands to run just to drive it.
