No matter how ugly it is, I foresee many BMW enthusiasts lining up to buy it.

They didn't when it was first released so I don't see why they would many years later.

My rear tailight connectors need to be cleaned every month to avoid faulty tail light failure warnings and dim lighting sometimes.

those headlights make it look more like an SLK than an M coupe.

lol, I should have clarified... my E34 was like that. My 3 series (both my 325i and 325is) have been rock solid.

I had 5 BMW in the past 20years and never had electrical or over heating problems.
Really? I love BMW but let's call a spade a spade.. they require attention.

here's some quotes of yours (PS... PwNtLol):

Here is the thread where your trunk wouldnt close:
http://www.maxbimmer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=89185

and:

May of 2005 my radiator neck snapped, this seems to be normal for the 5 series, cost $280
When the neck snapped antifreeze poured all over the front left headlight igniter, cost $225
Replaced this year valve cover gaskets, they tend to dry up and start leaking, cost $125
Replaced tires, front brake pads, front rotors, antifreeze, oil, oil filters, flushed brake, rear diff, power steering and manual transmission fluid 2 times, plus 4 wheel alignment a few times however this was due to bad BMW service.

And:
Have a problem with my M3.
The starter quit on me and I replaced it.
The car started fine with the new starter however it was idling @ 1250Rpm.
The car idled for about 5 minutes at this rpm and then all of a sudden revved to 3500 rpm
Until I shut it off. Error code read 1216 which meant throttle position sensor. I swapped it with my 540i since they were both the same part number.
The 540i started with no problems with the M3 throttle position sensor. The M3 with the 540i throttle position sensor had the same problem.

I removed the throttle body and intake again and checked for vacuum leaks did not findany. Re assembled the throttle this time code 1281 “Control Unit Memory Supply”. Tested the battery which seemed to be weak and bought a new one.

This time no code 1281 however the car idles @ 1250rpm and after a few minutes jumps up to 3500rpm.

and:

E36 M3 Radiator question.
It seems that after my reserve water tank split in half, which caused the rad to run dry for a few km. After a close inspection I noticed my radiator leaking.

Does any one know if a 540 radiator would fit.
I just don't like the idea of spending $700 for a new radiator.

and:
AIr bag light
My antifreeze fill bottle split from top to bottom on my M3. Once I pulled over and lifted the hood I noticed the entire engine compartment soaked.
I fixed my bottle with 4min appoxy and duct tape. However what I noticed after I started to drive was that my airbag light on the dash stays on. Does any one have any ideas what it could be, or how I can test to find out what's wrong.

Not really considering the the M3 has over 280,000km on it.
Yes I have had many problems with the M3 mostly caused by me by trying to get more Hp out of the car. I got it up to 600Hp with the supercharger and NOS.

The car is still sitting in the garage, I'm not driving it because it still revs at 1200rpm. The problem started after I replaced the starter, I kow it's a vacume leak just trying to find out where.

My 540i cracked the rad neck @ 75,000km however this is a problem with 540i
I now have almost 200,000km on the odometer and the new rad has over 125,000km and just holding fine.

Having said that the only things that I replaced on my 540i were rad, rear window track, trunk actuator and headlight ignitor my total cost approx $900
That's $900 in $200,000Km I would say I really don't have any problems with my cars

My 92 318is I sold has now close to 340,000km and still going strong, however
there are a few things that need to be replaced due to wear.
