hey guys, the other day my mechanic changed my front brakes (rotors and pads) and did an oil change. i got a 2004 330ci. i started driving home and my engine like came on. the next morning he hooked up his computer and some fault code #2240 if i remember correctly. there was no description . i searched the net and can't find anything. his book didn't have a description for the code. then he reset the fault and the indicator went away.
i drove for about a day or so and it came back on. it has been on for a day or so, and no this morning it was still on..i stopped at a place quickly. turned my car back on and now it's off.

i just wondering what this fault is..just in case it comes back, and why did it pop up.

OBD code P2240 is:
O2 Bank 2 Sensor 1 - Positive Current - Circuit Open

It sounds like a bad connection or broken wire for the O2 sensor.
Are you sure it was code P2240?
