i know your a little ways from hamilton, but give Wheel Wizards a call 905-544-9651 they do a lot of refinishing/custom wheels, they may be able to help you out. it may be worth the drive.

Your better off with going with Carcone.. They pick up the wheels refinish them and bring em back to you.. and there prices are reasonable as well.

You can also Precision Rim Repair. Located close to Weston/Sheppard Area
on Rivalda Rd.. not sure about there prices thou
http://www.rim-repair.com/

Also got a quote from GTATireTrader but price are ridiculous they quoted me 170 per wheel for 17' M3 LTW Rims...

I called carcones and also Precision and they both don't do finishing on chrome rims...

im going to try GTATireTrader right now.....

to refinish chrome, you would basically have to blast of the existing chrome and re-chrome the whole rim wouldn't you?

Try a place that does chroming in general, maybe that will be more help.

You know, i've looked into getting my rims re-chromed. For the prices I was getting, it wasn't worth it. Buy new rims, it will be cheaper.

Well you see, i don't exactly want to do it chrome, i want either High polish or Gold with a high polish lip.

Do you have any places/numbers i can try?

Thanks!

just lightly sand them down and paint them yourself......its sooo easy...and if they start to peel, use varsol to take the paint off and sell the rims....

If that's what you want, then you don't have to go to a chromer. I'm pretty sure most places can blast off the chrome and then just paint it after.

I'm honestly trying to remember, since it was spring of last year. It wasn't easy finding a place that would even quote me. I'll do some digging, maybe I can find the place again. *th-up*

Would you happen to know anywhere that might do this?

Shimajer, i called rim techniques man and for the 100th time, they said they wont do it because its ****ing chrome....

I'm still waiting to hear back from Mark@RMP to see if his guy can do it.

Boots - Thanks man!

are you sure your rims are chrome plated... or are they chrome PAINTED?
are they fully chrome, including inside of wheel?

I need to clean my lips. They have brake dust caked on there that regular wheel cleaners just can't get off.

Would I be able to clean the lips w/ some dilute CLR and a toothbrush, or will I **** them up?

Thanks for all your help everyone.

I went to Precision Rim Repair today and they said they can do it no problem. They just cant refinish the same color (which was chrome painted)

I'm either going with High Polish with red time attacks or Gold center with polished lip.

What do you guys think?

Gamite

Glad you got everything sorted out. Most rim places will say that they won't be able to match the colour 100%, so that's normal.

I vote for Gold Centers!
