View Full Version : My new Pedals!!

Well there is nothing special about the pedals that I just got. I got them from MPRESION in the group buy, and when I got them I was happy with them but they looked kinda dull and very brittle and rough. So what I did was I took them to my dads work and with a polishing machine polished them up and they are now amazing!!! I suggest that everyone who bought these pedals from the GB does the same!

The pic isnt that great, but you can see your reflection in them!

I polished them with a high speed polisher my dad has at work. I polished them for 2 HOURS!!!!! They look like a mirror, you really cant see it in the pic. But I could see myself in them. But damn I tried to install them and the brake is metal!! Im gonna ruin a couple of drill bits for sure

I tried but my drill ran out of power, but its gonna be hard to do since our brake pedals are made of heavy duty metal!!!!!

This was the hardest thing I have ever put on my car!!! Damn it all, it was so freakin hard. They stupid little screws, and all it made me go insane. Never again!

On the two of my pedals the sticker is gone, and it's been just a bit over a year since I got them.

Nice Pedals! But they're really that much of a pain in the a$$ to install huh? Did you have to drill and tap the hole or just drilled some clearance holes?

They are a b*tch to install. I had mine on for about 2 month's but they look great though. The m stickers will fall off, unless you put some kind of permenant glue. But they look good without the stickers too.

Ok, I will add you, but I will post here too.

They arent hard to do just very annoying. The clutch and brake are pretty easy, but the gas is hard to do.

Just get a drill with a drill bit that is about as wide as your screws and put the pedal on and mark a place where your gonna make your hole and drill.

When you are on the gas pedal though its hard to reach around and align the screw from the pedal with the bolt from behind, so try to align it and turn the screw to get the bolt on, dont try to turn the bolt to get it on the screw, its too hard that way. Good luck, your gonna need it.

Looks nice!

Quick question: Are the pedals slippery when your shoes are wet? I hope not...

Hey that rhymes...

They dont look like chrome man, all I did was shine them up with a high power polisher. I think they look much better than before. Before, they had all these little lines in them and they were all brittle to the touch. Now they are nice and smooth and shiney. I love them *th-up*

i came around to installing my pedals tonight, and it wasn't that tough, all together it took a GOOD 15-20 mins. the brake wasn't that hard, my only trouble was unattaching the gas pedal!!
but other than that it wasn't that bad, i'll post pics tomorrow!

the gas pedal was tough but it comes right off, i know this cause when i first bought the car, i had to replace the gas pedal, cause it broke on me (i have a HEAVY FOOT)!!
anyways, theres a little clip in the back of the pedal that you push down on, and then grab a screw driver and gently push in the clips that are underneath the pedal, its kinda tough to explain, but it was pretty easy to do!!!

But arent you supposed to mount the metal pedal on top of the plastic pedal?

OBVIOUSLY, but its A LOT easier to work with the GAS pedal, especially those BOTOM SCREWS (mk gino knows what i'm talkin about)!!!!
so if the gas pedal is off, you can EASILY put the new pedal ontop the plastic!
