I actually like the "upside down" ones better than the regular ones.

Hi Guys,

The set that you have seen at MTS.de is the Hella Celis Angel Eyes set.

It's the same set that I have been talking about in another topic here, I think it was named Angels eyes E30.

Let me assure you all that its a factory set, facing the high standards set by Hella.

The sets from Hella does come in a suitcase sized package including :

Factory made housing with guaranteed fit.
H7 bulbs for improved lightning
Additional wiring parts for adding the celis rings (angel eyes)

and mounting guide (written in german tho + "drawing of how to do")

For those of you that find it hard to read German, once you have the sets, contact me, as we will translate this and include the translated version also.

And as Hella does it (German perfectism) does the guide also cover how to adjust the beams, and even how to aim the beams for right side driving.

The final price will be in the range of USD 425-475 everything included, some dealers will properly set them higher while others will have some hidden additional fees.(shipping, insurance, handling)

I have knowledge of one site that will list the sets within the givven range as above - everything included, even a translated guide. (English only, maybe Danish for the fun of it *th-up*

Lastly, for some darn reason has Hella released these fuzzy pictures of their upcoming series.

They doesn't really embrais the design - I know for a fact as I have had several E36 sets in hand.

If I had planned to add the Angel eyes for my E30, would I consider a) go for the factory set from Hella and find a decent delear that will have them or b) wait until their release for purchasing some of the other kits avialable, as the price on these sets eventually will decrease in price.

I mean - who the *sad* will try sell homemade angel eyes with LED's at USD 300,- when these sets will be heading to NA in large numbers ?

Josephine

BTW - H7 will dramatically increase the driving light on your E30 - and the patented Celis technology, well you can see the difference.

those are sweet
you can put them into all E30 models right?

i mean even the before 88 ones cause u change the whole thing?
so they would go on 87?

Josephine:

I'm not too sure what you're trying to say.

MTS will be selling their kit in April for 249 euro.

What the $475 price for?

I'm a little confused.

Hi Guys,

Lets rest the case when it comes to pricing this set - I have just been on the phone for the European Distributor of the sets, and he's confused as I am, as not even he has any clue of the price.

I'll contact these guys later today (local Danish time) and dig into what they know.

I'll be back on pricing and so on.

And when it comes to additional pcitures of these sets, aren't there any other than the one you have already seen.

But, being a woman within the automotive industry is sometimes as helpful as "it's a pain in the ...."

With all of the female power I have in hand, did I convince him to either take additional pictures of the set once he has the first sets, or to ship me 1 or 2 of the initial trial tests.

In any case should we additional pictures on the set during march.

RaFBM325e

I doubt that Hella has done the same stupidity as with the Clear DE version of the Euro eliop sets - where they had to release 2 sets to make it fit.

Later on did they learn how to do it right, as in the Smoked Euro Eliop set - that set fits all e30's regardless of model and age.*th-up*

Guys,

Ok first of all this is not a comercial post *love*

But I have an idea that could ease all of this discussion up a bit.

Once we have the final pricing at hand - could I post the price. In most cases are our prices a good indicator of what parts should cost.

And when it comes for the sets for E30 have we been promised that we will be among the first ones to get these sets, so any group buy, or other arrangement is welcomed.

We have a distributor in USA now, and I'm more that sure that he will help in this matter.

In terms of prices does the rumors indicate that the final prices will be within (lowest expectation = USD 299 shipped to highest expectation = USD 499 shipped )

The final prices is to be set by Hella, and often do they have 2 pricing ranges, one for the Euro market and 1 for the NA market.

So until additional news, rest the discussion on pricing, as no one outside Hella have a clue about the price.

Your own guess is as good as the one you eventually hear from others *th-up*

But I find it as an interesting discussion, as there many other topics to discuss, such as tech, modification of the front, etc.

When these sets are relased will Hella in addition release clear front indicators for E30 - and clear as in crystal clear. They have also released their new side indicators.

Just to make things clear, Josephine, make sure you have a Canadian price, including everything (shipping, duties, etc.).

Thanks!

Too bad someone broke two of my e30's front headlights yesterday. I wanted to get the euro smoked ellipsoids, but now hearing this, I might let the insurance money go to regular factory one's, and just stick it out until more info on these is out.

hey i just got info that Bavauto sells angel eyes; however, the starting price is $315 and I haven't been able to capture a good picture of them.

for the e36... I like the regular halo's where the light comes in from the top. Reason being is that the e36 headlights are not round.. they're flat at the top.. it's hidden well up there, and since you normally look down at a car... even while driving... or dead-on.. but rarely from the bottom-up.. it gives the illusion of a full circle. The bottom cut off means that while driving it will look like the top AND button are cut off.. and that just tooks tacky.

This is coming from an owner who had the angels from the bottom... chrome peieces of crap, lol.. :P

Anyway.. for the E30.. that is definately a mod worth getting! only thing I'd worry about is rocks hitting it.. how durable is it?

BladeRunner

Heres a picture of the Angel Eyes offered by Bavauto. I tried to make it as small as possible without loosing the small details. Be for warned it is a scanned image that has been edited in Photoshop to best of my ability.

I really really like the look of these!!
I hate to put them in then have them brake by a stupid accident, i would probably be so carefull when i first get them when i drive, wouldnt want to break those suckers

BladeRunner
01-23-2004, 12:07 AM
It's not the accident I would really be afriad of but rocks hitting them while driving or parkinglots where jelous SOBs will damage them or people with large trucks, cars, or suvs hitting them. When the sign says "SMALL CARS ONLY", that does not mean it is the requested size but the manditory size, people....
