How hard are these to install? It looks like you have to take the whole centre piece off to access the stuff underneath eh?
What do the instructions say? Do they look complicated (keeping in mind I'm a newbie at this stuff unlike you :) )

Well the easiest way is always from under the car and getting the old shifter out isn't a big deal at all. Depending on how small your hands are you may want to undo the driveshaft to get better access however it can be done without. The arm simply goes on by pulling back the black tab and it snaps into place after you have the old one out. Instructions are very detailed with pics :) BTW I think i have that taillight cover you need. If you buy the shifter I will throw it in FREE!

Yeah, but 1) you're in Peterborough and 2) I don't have access to a hoist.
I guess I would need to jack it up on cinder blocks or something.
Also, I assume the shifts are harder since there's less leverage right? Do you know how much harder? (i.e. annoyingly harder or just a tad harder). And finally, do you know how much the throw is reduced by? 20/30/40%?
Thanks.

They claim a 40% reduction and it's not harder to shift..it's just more precise. I am always up in GTA so i can meet you wherever.. I will be up thursday night. And yes.. jack the car up on stands and you'll be fine!

Spennie - you wish your car was stick :P Buy my old ACS wheels to complete your car already!

Ok, I'll take the short shifter and rear left tail light cover off you. I don't know if I'll be able to install the damn thing but it'll be a challenge I guess :) hehe
What time will you be in Toronto Thursday evening and where will you be?
