Due to some major rust issues(floorboards) and a mishap(never let relatives drive), i've decided to cut my losses and part out my e30. It looks like i may not be able to find another clean rolling shell for awhile. iI has a m50 swap done to it over the winter which ran great. If intrested i will try to make it availble hopefully by the end of next week. This is what is included in the "kit"
-06/94 Production M50TU(vanos) with about 165kms. all new and correct mounts are included.
-I used the e30 transmission so thats included with the motor
as well as a lightweight m20 flywheel and clutch with alot of life left.
all new and correct mounts are included.
-The correct and hard to find e34 m50 oil pan already
installed with a new oil pan gasket.
-All motor accessories nothing will be missing (A/C) was deleted
-Plug N play harness which will be a turn key swap if installed into
any 90 - 91 318i or iS. for the 325's some minor wiring might be required
but thats no problem and i could even help you re-wire for free.
-325iX booster with 25mm e34 m5 master cyl
-E30 325 5spd driveshaft (had some vibration issues), i would reccomend changing it to the e36 325 5spd driveshaft for better fitment.
-E30 3.73 lsd purchased from Eurostyle.
- Full m20 exhaust system and new cat back customized to fit up to the m50 down pipes with new o2 sensor. it passed emissions this april no problem. fits like its stock.
- cooling system was damaged in the accident but if you have a 88+ e30 everything is there you need accept the e36 hoses which i have.
Anything else that was not mentioned and is needed will be included at no extra cost.
As far as manitence goes it has all new ngk plugs, new trans/diff oils, new thermostat/aluminum thermostat housing and new water pump. This motor never gave me trouble and was a blast to drive in a e30. There are no leaks accept for where the dipstick goes into the pan. I forgot to install a o-ring so oil seeps out. I used only the BMW coolant no green prestone crap. That's it. Its due up for an oil change that i never got to do yet but I only used mobil1 syntetic. This motor did not burn any oil.
The price i am looking for is somwhere around 1300 - 1500 for the whole shebang. I am open to offers. I think that price is reasonalbe considering you are getting everything need for a swap and you wont need to be flying all over town and out of town to junk yards looking for the parts needed (but it sure was fun!) NOT looking to ship unless we work out something that will make me go through all the trouble to ship a whole bunch of heavy shit.
Also i am looking to trade for a cheapo car that doesnt need anything major to certify or pass emissions that is good on gaz and just gets me from point A - B...thats it.
