Ouch, that's awful!

It does however look like the kind of damage that can be repaired without even painting the car. (unless there is paint missing which i can't see in the pictures). I've seen body shops now a days that can remove dents like that in metal without having to repaint. I'm not sure how they do it, but i'm actually getting one place to do my sunroof which has a slight dent in it probably from falling debris.

Just curious. Are left hand drive cars allowed in London?? I was in West Hampstead for 5 years and I don't remember ever seeing a left hand drive.

Well I went to my local BMW dealer and talked to the guy in the body shop and he checked my car out.
He said it's going to need a whole new rear quarter panel.

Which i guess is better that banging it all out filling in which will look fine to start with and in a couple of years will have all sunk amd look terrible.
The only good thig is this is teh panel that had a little bubble starting to come through on it.
So while there at it I will probably get the whole car resprayed.
I thought who better to fix my car than the peopel who built it in the first place, what do you think guys?

And there approved by my insurance company and can sort it all out for me over the computer :)

It doesn't hurt to get more than one estimate for the repairs. But I definitely would not have a problem spending a little bit more to have it done right, at the BMW facility. All factory parts, installed by factory-trained people. Some body shops cut corners and might not put out the highest quality work. Good luck!:)
