My friend Stefano put a turbo system on his M20 motor in woodbridge (some may know him with the red 325is). Anyways... i'm surprised how many people think Turbo systems are cheap and can be made with scrap parts... even the cheapest systems using parts off other cars will still run you easily into the $5500 range (5x the price of the actual motor). If you're still interested George, i'll tell you more details about it.

The car belongs to one of the attendee's of Bimmercruize '01 & '02. I think the gentleman owns a detailing business?

The Z8 is owned by a gentleman by the name of Ted. His son Mark owns a mobile car detailing business... Ted himself is a retired Millionare (not because of car detailing either.;)) and a fellow motorcyclist (owns some seriously exotic bikes - MV Agusta Oro for example).

I own Stage-Up / CCR Fabrication. I build high performance / custom vehicles for a living. We sell and install high performance parts, do all types of engine swaps, turbo kits, roll cages, and custom fabrication. We have been building custom turbo kits for Hondas before any of the big name company's such as Greddy. We also prototype custom kits. We just finished a Lexus SC300 kit. This was a low boost kit and at only 5psi the car ran a 14.53 with 18in. street tires and full interior with stereo system and tv's. This car is an automatic, was not manually shifted, has yet to be tuned and the compression lowered to give us more room to play with the boost. Our prototype kits start at $4,500 installed. The parts used are all brand name such as HKS, Greddy, Blitz, Tial, Spearco, Apex, Turbonetics, and Garret. Our manifolds are eighther log type cast steel, or custom mild steel/stainless tube style. I will be glad to give you a price depending on your application and needs. Our phone number is (562) 229-9899

p.s. As soon as i finish my M52 swap into my 91 318is, we'll start working on a turbo kit for it!

Sounds liike a damn good price for a custom fabbed turbo kit installed and tuned! I am very interested in getting a turbo on my car. Where is your shop located? How long would you need my car to be able to do it? Cant be missing my baby for too long LOL but dont want to rush you either. Also if you have pics and info on some other turbo installs you hve done I would like to see them. You can email or PM me so we can talk somemore@

The price listed is a starting price. Dep.on which parts you choose to use for the kit the price may differ a little. The kit incl. basic tuning only. The manifold price varies depending on the type of material it's made of. The log style manifold i mentioned above is the basic one made out of cast steel. This one once prototyped will retail for around $650.00. The mild steel tube style manifold will retail for around $850.00, and the stainless tube style manifold will retail for around $1050.00.

Yes the prices are in u.s. dollars. I don't think the price of the manifolds are all that much considering good headers that aren't even stainless run at least $500.00 u.s. dollars. The cheapest stainless headers i've seen run $750.00 u.s. dollars. And considering these open no window for performance other than a few hp., I'd say the turbo manifold prices are pretty reasonable.
