Hi Guys,

This is my first post here, the site looks really good with alot of handy information. Ill start about me, im from New Zealand *wave* im 22yrs old love Cars, esp BMWs. Heres a few pics of my recently repainted 325im/340i. We painted the car in factory cosmos blue but with alot of added goodies to really make the paint punch. The car has alot of ACS gear on it,witch i love, i have just sold the 17'' momo gt2 wheels that are pictured and brought some stunning 16'' ACS wheels with toyo t1rs 225/45/16s.Has alot of work done on the supention as well. We have just droped a 1997 Lexus 1uzfe v8 with a 5speed supra box, running a 3.73lsd and will put out around 320/340hp when we are done, will use less gas than the worked 2.5m20 it replaced. What do you guys think? cant wait till i get the Schnitzer wheels on hehe

No real picks as yet im afraid, its getting custom mounts made for it atm.Ive got this one tho, getting custom extractors made as well :cool: , we are designing a really aggressive exhaust system for a clean high pitched race sound:P

Beautiful car man! Why the 1UZ though? I thought of using a 2UZ for my swap since I have one in my 4Runner and I love it but after doing some research, I found that the connecting rods on these engines are pretty frighteningly thin and are a common thing to fail on boosted engines. That's why TRD pulled the supercharger off the market. So if you plan to boost it, you should look into replacing the rods with some aftermarket beef.

Thanks for all the comments guys, Why a 1uz? They rev very well, very cheap to run, cheap to buy, lighter than an m20 or m50, They are very very strong engines, can handle 600hp easy on the standard engine. But im not going forced induction at this stage. I think 330hp in a 1200kg car will be alot of fun anyway.
