Stock mounting points?

01-07-2007, 11:39 AM
yes it fits 100% to stalk mounting its very easy to install the only part is that it use standard hardware instead of metric

don't mean to doubt you, but if it's really "ways less than 5lb" it's probably really really thin, and as such wouldn't be stiff enough to handle stock functionality.

i am just really surprised, usually the only retaining option for hoods that thin are pins

do you have any pics of it installed??

here you go

fitment doesn't look too great as expected with most cf hoods.

01-08-2007, 03:57 PM
wow! awesome. so you say it's under 5lbs?

01-08-2007, 10:46 PM
i have not actualy wade it yet but i would say so you can carry it with one hand no problem and i did have it blow off my lawn in the wind, but no damaged happened.....

fitment isnt to bad it looks worser in the pic but i had it on anought e30 and it fit way better,

the hood is the only part i dont really want to sell b/c its so cool but i have no use for it

01-10-2007, 12:54 AM

01-10-2007, 02:04 PM

so....was it my old hood?

01-14-2007, 12:39 AM
so....was it my old hood?

Not sure Jeremy ? there is no lables or part #s anywhere on it ( unlike BMP not to Tag it !).
Do you have any pics of the one you had ?
Thanks John Hubbert ...

01-14-2007, 12:49 AM
when i bought it from BMP there were no labels... and the thread inserts for the brackets were SAE instead of metric... i also used some 3M VHB tape to attach the emblem on the hood...and it had indented spots were the nozzles would go...i sold it to mr.mtech quite awhile ago...

it looks and sounds like my old hood... and i can't think of anyone else who had a cf e30 hood....not that it matters...just kinda neat to see where some of my old parts are now..

01-14-2007, 01:25 AM
Must be your old hood !, SAE bolts , indents were the washer nozzles could be. not sure how the emblem is secured ? Stuck on somehow ..
What did it cost new ?
It is neat to know the history of parts, and it does matter to me any way !
thanks Jeremy .
