I think that is BALONEY ! $22,000? I don't tink it has the 2.5 motor in it,although I could be wrong...
Queen auto brokers are selling that car. They are located near Downtown BMW. Car looks like it's stock.
It doesn't have no "HARTGE" package on it.

That M3 looks like a nice project car for someone.... :)

Go see the car before you judge on this one......

Heres the word on the stroker kit M3.

My friend had his father's M3 mechanic have a look at it. His conclusion is that the vehicle is definetly not 260hp. More like 215hp. The oil had a lot of debree in it and the car has been sitting at queen auto since like june 2002 at the same price.

The good thing about this car is that it is ABSOLUTELY immaculate inside and out. Even under the hood it is PERFECT. It looks like it just rolled out of the show room.

The m3 mechanic and my friend test drove a euro 88 m3 from danforth trucks at vic park and danforth. Apparently this one felt tighter and faster than the stroker m3. This one was imported directly from the original owner in germany a couple months before. The seats were cloth and it had no sunroof. My friend Jesse decided not to buy it because it would need to much body work as it had a key mark from front to back. I think they wanted like 14 or 15k for that one.

$22,000 Is in Canadina dollars,e30_325_s52 .......

E30 M3's are a more collectible/sought after BMW than an E28 M5 or M6.
Plus they are more fun to drive and are not as *sloppy* to drive as the E28 M5 or M6

By the way, I was offered $25,000 Canadian for my M3 A few months ago.

A "stroker kit" is what I have done on my engine. It uses higher compression pistons, EVO III crankshaft, rods, etc.
HERE ARE SOME DETAILS....

E30 M3 2.5L Engine Conversion kit uses factory BMW Evolution III parts to convert the stock US 2.3 liter engine into the European Evolution III 2.5 liter engine. Increasing the displacement and raising the compression yields much more torque-50 ft/lbs. gain @ 4000 rpm.. With a stock head othe 2.5 stroker kit will make over 225 hp, add cams, exhaust and a Stage 3 head and over 285 hp can be achieved. The intake and exhaust system also is upgraded to allow larger 2.5L engine to breath. It uses OEM BMW 2.5L crankshaft w/ bearings, nut and spacer for crank, 2.5L head gasket, M3 bottom end gasket set, 2.5 custom chip, 2.5 forged piston set w/ rings (11.25:1 compression) , rod bolts and head bolts .

With the chip,it will give you an 8200 RPM redline. To further improve this system,48 mm throttle bodies (found on EVO III cars) can be installed,as opposed to the stock 46mm throttle bodies.

A stroker kit like this can cost upwards of $15-$20,000 CAD.
Very expensive. Most 2.5 kits have just the bottom end done. With that being done,it will cost around $5-$7,000. This will give the car around 220-240 hp.

I agree with Rob as to why the car is so expensive. E30 M3's are quite rare. You could find a nice one if u looked hard enough, but they still are a rare car. I would have to say the best E30 there is and the only one I would buy would be the M3. Now, now Rob, becareful posting that last sentance, remember what happened last time u did that?

The cars powertrain would be my primary concern.

Unlike old domestics, those engine's are expensive to rebuild.

If I was to get an E30, I would rather drop the E36 M3 engine in it rather than do a rebuild. I mean you get more power, at a cheaper cost, plus less rarity in parts. Adds up in my opinion

dealers book prices for a 1988e30M3 is about $11000 in VG condition,of course that does not take in the "collectors" value of the car so bascially its a sellers market. That car been in and out of Autotrader for about 7 months,IMHO that car should go around $13000-15000 IF you can find a decent one.

I have never seen one here for sale that was less than $16 500.
I have decided not to put the e36 M3 engine in it because I like reving it to get power. I know of a supercharged 88 M3 that puts out 285hp. The things goes 0-60 in 5.5sec. That pretty ****ing good for a four banger. *wiggle*

I've never seen one for under 15 grand in Ontario. They are gettin so rare too, every week I check the autotrader and find nothing except that black one for 22+K. That car has been in the trader for months

You should check the add from Truckland Automotive...they deal with a lot of M's! Last time they had 3 M3's and 2 or 3 M5's...The owner (Bill) has a nice E30 M3 track car!!!
