Hey guys,

I've been doing detaling for a while but have never come across this, I need some advice from a detailing guru.

A friend of mine got some concrete on his paint a few months ago, what is the best way to remove it without damaging the paint. I've heard acid works best, so I'll probably try to soak it in vinegar or something and chip away at it, and then compund and polish the area. It's a pretty big chunk with bits of splatter surronding the area.

Any other tips that may work?

Thanks

It's been on there a couple months, doesn't look like it's gone through the clear coat though.

I'm sure clay would take it off, not sure if it will scratch the paint around it though. It will probably need to be compunded and polished for sure after that.

Try covering the spot with a papertowel, and saturate the said spot and paper towel with full strength 5% vinegar. Re-moisten every so often, and see if that helps.

OR try going to a cement plant, to see if you can purchase some concrete solvent.

Thanks!

Looks like a great product, I'm going to give it a try if I can find some locally. They have a local distributor, I'm going to call for pricing.

BMWWW's got it - I've used this stuff:

The car I used it on drover over wet cement, wheel wells were covered as were the rockers. The Back-Set worked really well on it.
