for sale is a very classy looking set of very closely matching momo steering wheel and a wooden shifter knob. (color is almost the same, won't notice unless compare the two up close)

reason for selling: i am building a sporty/racy looking car, so the wood theme doesn't exactly match my sparco buckets.
Perfect xmas present for your car

used them both for about 2 mnths. Wheel is practically new and knob is very close to new (no scratches or anything). The wooden knob feels amazing in hand and is more presice than leather knobs but doesn't "freeze" your hand like what metal knobs do (no flaming please, this is just IMO)

does NOT come with the horn button or hub (can get button for cheap on ebay and hub for about $60 new)
asking $300CDN - what i basically paid for those two.

here are some pics:

would you part the shift knob?

You should keep the wheel, well or replace it with one that's more wood. It doesn't get much more racy than a wooden steering wheel.

This is the wheel going into my E30 (not installed yet, so no in-place pic):

no parting out, these two pieces make a great combo

i am not really desperate to sell it, i might even end up keeping it, just trying to raise some dough right now.

BigD: nice retro cockpit there. Hope this is from a car that goes fast only in straight lines.

If the price was a bit lower and included a hub adapter, I'd get this for my e34 as an xmas present.. but alas too much $ and don't feel like hunting for a hub too. (E34 and E30 are the same btw.)

Bump!

i know, it seems a bit much, but think about it: $220 for the wheel and $80 for the knob, both in wonderful condition (i don't have the best camera, they actually look much better in real life than on pics)

also, try and find a matching wood set like this for similar price, even on ebay you won't.
if you buy before xmas, i'll throw in the bmw logo horn button, hub i have only one and i need it for the other wheel.

I think the wood theme would look great in an e34.

here is a very similar wheel on ebay (notice the price): http://cgi.ebay.com/MOMO-STEERING-WHEEL-FASHION-350-ZEBRANO-WOOD-BLACK-WOW_W0QQitemZ260056532610QQihZ016QQcategoryZ40195Q QrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item260056532610

Thats a real nice price for the wheel, but the only aftermarket wheel i'd get is the MOMO one that BIG D posted.... anyone know what the name of that wheel is?

Good luck on the sale though... i'm very surprised nobody's picked this up yet!

for someone not desperate to get rid of it, you sure are pushing the sale of it.

you may want to hold off on posting it on ebay, there are similar wheels there for less than half of what you are asking... gluck with the sale

Sorry for not responding as quickly as you would have liked, I had better things to do than to come online and respond to you... I hope you weren't holding your breath.

And remember, I said similar, not exact and there were actually better examples when I originally posted but whatever. I thought I was helping you by letting you know what was already on the market. Maybe you shouldn't be so narrowminded and open yourself to suggestions. Again, gluck with the sale. Seems like you really need it.

well, you just keep surprising me, my friend.
Are you familiar with the whole "auction" concept? Like when people bid higher and higher and when time runs out whoever bids the most thats the price item gets sold for?
You've given me links to items half-way into the auction, how the hell does it reflect the actual price that item will sell for???

Honestly i wanna give you a chance and not have a friction with you on this forum, but seriously, you gotta meet me half-way here...

maybe you can see now how you are ruining my thread? Just for future reference, have some respect to your fellow-posters and you will get it back - have nothing good to say - don't say it, mind your business.
If you really wanted to help, you could have been more diplomatic and PM'ed me.

you asked for a response, i gave you a response... i do understand the concept of an auction. I also understand the concept of supply and demand. Obviously the supply is there. The demand however, is not. And correct me if I'm wrong, I did say there were better examples at the time of my original post. I dont need your sympathy, nor do i need your friendship. I have much respect for many of the members on this board. I see the advice they have given me and others and to that I thank them for it. You on the other hand, are a different case all together. You talk about being diplomatic and how I should have PM'd you. Maybe you are right? But, maybe you should take your own advice sometime and not be so high and mighty on yourself. And quite frankly it is not that good a deal expecially used and without a hub. By the way, do those rusty screws come with the wheel? Or is it just the way your camera caught the light? Again, I wish you good luck on the sale as I'm sure you are getting numerous offers for this once in a lifetime opportunity to own a mismatched momo wheel and shifter knob. I'm done.

By far the best way to shit on someone's threat. Good job BMW325. I don't understand why someone would want to throw in negative comments on someone's sale. The guy is trying to sell the item, he is not ripping anyone off. If you are not interested and don't have anything positive to say why go and start crapping on his threat?

I have personally seen those items and they are in a very good condition and are quite well MATCHED. And it IS a good deal. On top of that buying something from eBay from someone in Fiji without any initial examination is one thing and buying something from a well respected forum member and being able to examine the item ahead of time makes a huge difference to me. Maybe there is no demand for it now but that doesn't mean that you have to give it away for a penny. Good luck with the sale static.
