I am so happy. I am keeping it. I am going to rebuild it when I have a bit more money. Say what you want about it being a 4 cylinder and how it sounds but there is something special about these cars. Out of all the Bmws I have driven, This one is the best. I love turning the wheel and the thing responds like a go cart.*th-up* *wiggle*

Spartiatis,
What made you change your mind?

Next time we meet, I 'll let you take mine for a spin to see the difference between a 2.3 and a 2.5.
Hopefully I'll have my Alpha -N DTM intake system installed...*th-up*

I dont know the history of my car. How can I tell if the previous owner did the 2.5 conversion on mine?

hmmm...I don't think you have a 2.5 M3. You would have to pay way more money..say over $21,000 for a 2.5. Who sold you the car? Don't they know what mods teh car has?
Hmmm, seems like you really don't even know what you bought man...:huh?:

Oh Rob, don't tell me you're going that route?

Hopefully you've saved enough money for frequent engine rebuilds I take it? The Alpha-N system relies on TPS and RPMs only for engine management, which means no MAF. You're gonna get great power out of that motor, but the lifespan will diminish severely. It's ultra-easy to lean out a motor with the Alpha-N intake, and once that's done, boom.

It wouldn't surprise me if you ended up rebuilding the motor annually, if not more with the Alpha-N intake on it. For the 40 HP you'll get of the unit, it's gonna cost you big bucks to keep that car running.
