Hey, This may sound dumb, but does anyone know an easy way to remove the rear parcel shelf from a 4 door e36?
First off, I want to change the rear speakers and second the black on the top is all faded and I want to get it re-done.
Sorry for the questions but I am a very excited new e36 owner

It's gonna be hard to remove, LOTS of clips and labor! it took me about 1.5 hours in my E30 and sometimes it won't go back on perfectly if you break something.
Better just to find a good appolstry shop (spelling?) they can re-dye the rear deck or get a brand new one from bmw parts. When it's out ask the shop if you can come in and install new speakers. also would be a good time to install dynamat (cuts a lot of noise) and tint the windows.

Did you need to remove the rear seat to pull it out and was it a series of clips to pull it off or are there some screws holding it down?
