Well... just like the question said, i see people extrude hone their M20 intake manifolds. I guess it's some kind of porting? It seems like they get quite a lot of power out of doing this.. anyone have experiences with doing so here?

Well basically you hone in on your target and then extrude all over her face, just like in my avatar..........:D

They push a compound through your intake manifolds to smooth out the sides so the air flows better. That's basically all it is.

Do you know what kind of compound they use?
If you look at this link, it actually seems like they can gain as much as 40hp just by porting and extrude honing a manifold. Is this realistic at all?

Possibly, but Dinan has been known to bullshit all their numbers. Anyways, I wouldn't be too concerned with that until you get into more heavy mods such as headwork and all the internals. Sorry, I'm not sure as to what compound is used. I remember seeing a website a while ago that explained the whole process. I think it may be Motronix's old website, doesn't exists anymore.
