I love car audio and other $hit like that ... Most of the stuff you see isn't hard to install. Look on the net for info...ask stereo shops what else is involved( tell them you need to get an Idea of cost)..The systems are really expensive..I would suggest, a multimeia system rather than navagation. More options, more fuctionality.

I wll PM you a list of multimedia decks and monitors, with prices if I can find them. I have tons of car audio books ( like 4 years worth). off hand kenwood makes a nice deck with monitor. Clarion makes cheap monitors, you are in for about 15-2 g for a deck.Not as much in the U.S most of them play DVD, you can do cool stuff like hook up a playstation and play movies.Pioneer makes a nice one too. just rambling.... Check out

Switchers for cars work the same as home ones do....If you have
more than on edevice taht need the monitor ( dvd, PLaystation, Nav) you will need a switcher to go between components. Now it is a bit different if you have more than one monitor.
xtra monitors are like 3-500
