i was wondering if it's possible to take off that black trim that is on the edge of the e30's...here is a pick of mine..
you can barely see it in the middle..but on the front and the back of the car you can see it clearly..what do you think if i take that off??

the black trim comes in really handy to reduce dints from doors.. you could paint them body color but if you remove them you'll have a ridge and screw holes all over the place.
id lower the car and get rid of the bottlecap rims first

lollol..the only problem is the car is not totally mine (it still sorta belongs to my dad...even though i drive it everyday) anyways, gotta find a way to convince him to let me lower it a few inches or so....other then that i don't think he would let me put a skirt around it unless it's cheap and easy for him to install (he's a mechanic and does a lot of shit on cars).....

it will be nice if it was lowered and the rims would be nice also!

I dunno, but heres mine
that black area, on the lower sides, may be somewhat of a undercoat. that area takes hits from rocks and such. it will need to be painted over. Go to a shop, ask them to mix your paint, clean area, and spray. if you have a compressor. your dad is a mechanic, he could probably find one for u.
I had rocker guard on the bottom of my e30 where the black used to be ...the dings you get when you don't have it turn into rust..believe me
