Guys,

Why can't we search for 3 character phrases? Other boards like www.bimmerforums.com allow you to and it is very useful.

Examples:
- ICV
- M50 / M52 / S50 / S52 / etc...
- DRL
- FTW (haha...)

Anyways, you get my point.

Thanks,

-Geoff

geoff, i suggest not using maxbimmer search at all. Its sometimes slow, you can only search every 30 seconds, and it eats up bandwidth.

go to www.google.com and search for [FTW site:maxbimmer.com] without the brackets. *th-up*

^^ Wow..."A" for effort for you propr'one .

Geoff, I know what you mean. we're going to be changing that very soon. Bothers all of us i think. You're supposed to put a "*" to componsate as a 4th character to enable searches, but still kinda dumb, i agree.

Thought of another one: CAI

Propr'one - Thanks, didn't know you can do that... Problem with this is you can't specify a certain forum ie: for sale, e36, etc...

Dan - Thanks for addressing my question. I'll also try this CAI* trick...

Dan, dont be a smartass, actually try what I wrote down. It works, and if you need to search for several things, and dont want to wait 30 seconds between searches, its effective.

Yeah, that's awesome Ivan. I'm going to use that from now on any forum search except for r3vlimited, seems to be really effective there.

there are couple of problems with your suggestion.

1. It would only return results if google visited the page.
2. google can not access offtopic, so anything said there, wont turn up on google
