2 x 450watts @ 2 ohms
1 x 900watts @ 4 ohms Bridged
Frequency Response: 20Hz - 20kHz
S/N Ratio: 90dB

...telll wha it means..i know some but i know i forgot

It means you have a 2 channel bridgable amp. it will olny run subs or mids/highs not both without dumb external crossovers.

You have a lot of options on what you can run. this amp will power 1,2,3,4,6,or 8 subs.

here are a few suggestions:
900 watts (bridged) to one 4 ohm sub
500 watts to two 4 ohm subs
500 watts to one DVC (twin 2 ohm coils) in stereo
900 watts (bridged) to two 2 ohm subs (rare)

I would suggest you run one 4 ohm sub with the amp bridged. bridging makes the amp more efficiant and it will put out more power.

BTW. very few amps can handle a load of 2 ohms bridged so i don't suggest you try it.. i've cooked my amp doing that!

The lower the ohms the more current required from the amp.. so a 1 ohm sub would reqire almost 4 times the power of a 4 ohm sub.. and poof up goes your amp in smoke

Frequency Response: 20Hz - 20kHz? don't worry about it.. it's pretty much standard. 20hz is the lowest frequency you can hear, 20khz is the highest frequency you can hear. that's just saying that amp will prduce any frequency you can hear

S/N Ratio: 90dB? again don't worry about it... i don't think your building an audiophile system

THD? is total harmonic distortion is usually measured at rated power 20hz to 20khz.. high quality amp run less then .02% THD.. D class amps built to run subs are usually around .05% to .2% THD. the less THD the better because it sounds like ass

good luck

so wha would u do if u wanted two 12's or somehtin bigger lik a 15's

Slowered318

yeah i would say run 4 10's, 2 12's or one 15"

4 mid level 10's about $150 each would sound amazing if you can afford them. 15's usually sound lose and dirty.. 12's are a nice blend of mid bass and low bass (good for Hip hop). 10's hit hard in the mid bass (great for dance) but 4 of them would give you more low bass then one 15"

Pioneer licks A$$

JL, Alpine, Kicker and Beyond audio make the best subs

Beyond audio X-one's (http://www.beyondaudio.ca.tc/)

Not really.. i've looked into it before it's 70% mark-up and it's really not very usefull unless you plan to spend a lot of time sitting in a parking lot watching tv and movies. I would be a nice toy but i wouldn't install any A/V equipment untill you have a nice sounding stereo already.

A/V navigation system with stock speakers and bmw tape deck.. haha now that's ghetto

probably the best bang for your buck would be 2 12' JLW0's ( they take almost nothing to power) at 4 ohms and like a 500 watt amp. I have seen some sweet 6 channel amps( soundstream stuff like that) power the whole car. don't run more than 1 amp unless you want to buy a cap or a bigger alternator.I agree with slowered about the Nav..leave it for now. Big $$ for a toy. You are better off to get a multimedia deck without a screen and get the screen after. You can always mount it in the the dash. get some nice components for the front and some decent rear fill and subs.
good luck

JL subs take next to nothing to power. Should be plenty.
Just make sure the amp is 500 watts not 200 with a 500 watt plate on it. I personally would go with one 12 or 2 10" . I think 2 12's are not needed unless you listen to techno or rap.

Id go with a Kicker 5 channel amp.. maverick has one it sounds ok, shakes your eyeballs, and pleasures the g/f all at the same time :D

Also you should be able to run up to 1000 watts of power without having alternator problems unless your battery is toast

YEAH THAT'S RIGHT!!!!

Your lookin' about $200 range for the entry level beyond audio X-one subs. you can move up to the inhuman or PSI but i don't think you need the 300 oz magnet or 10,000 watt power rating they have.

btw if your going to run X-one's you gotta have atleast 300-500 watts ..i tried to run an x-one 10" off my 140 watt Eclipse amp and it was like running home speakers off the headphone jack of a walkman. hahaha

Sony? why would you buy a big screen tv from a company that makes alarm clocks haha it's like buying a daiwoo... look my car is the same company as my computer monitor!

MTX - empty sex
Kaption - CAPPED one
Sony - its gonna explode
eclipse - It clips!
Kenwood - Ken would but i wouldn't
Phoenix gold - Penis mold
Alpine - all pine
jensen - well need i say more hahah

Sorry but my ears have been pressure treated to 155 db

If I was going to do it again I would need atleast 2 12's to impress myself. But i'm trying to get away from that much bass. 5 years of daily pounding and a few burps in SPL cars have put their toll on my hearing.

ha ha ha
it was a single 15 in a wall in a toyota cresida named project poo. there is also another car with 2 15's in a wall that car was named Disco Stu rediculous amount of cabin pressure. the bass was so loud it would throw off your eqalibrium (the thing in your ears partly responsible for balance) you get out and feel like your dizzy.:puke: not loud enough ha ha ha

Clubs use to be loud.. but not anymore!

damn how many subs and wha size were they..and how big of a amp/s?..

first you take your car rip out the rear seats and pannels, bolt a wall like 2" thick sheet of wood right behind the front door jam. Mount one or two 15" subs make a enclosure with a port big enought crawl into and FEED it 2000-5000 watts. BAHM! you got yourself a SPL car that you can hear coming way before you see it.

Hahaha
