UPDATE: I just had my 19" Breyton Inspirations powder coated silver. Initially went to Byers Bush and found out they REALLY increased their price from $70/wheel to $135/wheel. I started to shop around and found an amazing place in Burlington. $60/wheel (sandblasting incl).. $40/wheel if they're already stripped. Contact info below...

it's a coating place.. they "add" a coating, not polishing service.

Picked up my wheels yesterday from Force Coatings. For the price, they did an excellent job. I'd rate it 8.5/10 overall. The finish isn't very glossy, so i'd recommend getting a professional paint shop to clear it if you're looking for a very shiney, wet-look. The thickness of the powder isn't consistant thoughout the wheel, which leaves some sections with a rougher surface... possibly making it harder to clean when brake dust gets in there. That's my only complaint, but what do you expect for $60/ea?

Randy, did you powdercoat the barrel? Any problems with tire mounting with that? I was thinking of taping off the barrel before i have it done, i'll call Dom tomorrow and see what he says.

Don at force coatings just did my wheels for me, came out to 280, since they had to sandblast/powdercoat them twice

(fake ass bolts on the "two peice" rims were plastic, melted in the oven. Dom was really good about it, just charged me for the sandblasting, not the powdercoating.)

The job overall was quite good, although it took two days longer than expected. Similar issues to what randy mentionned, the coat isn't perfectly even across the wheels, which, from up close, is noticable. From 3-4 feet away the wheels look perfect.

Overall i'm very happy with the work, and would recommend them to anyone looking for a middle of the road powdercoating shop who knows what they're doing, and have good pricing.
