Bought this from richmak earlier this month, thinking its wireless would be significantly stronger than the Sympatico modem I have. It was better, but only negligbly. So I'm putting it back up for sale.

Like new condition, all original packaging and accessories included. Only $30! (what I paid for it)

I'll take it - work properly, I'm assuming?

Ever in the west end of the city?

No issues - the wireless just wasn't strong enoguh to make a difference for me. Check PMs.

As a note, sympatico runs at 5Mbps, tops. This router runs at 108Mbps, even the slowest wireless router is 11Mbps. So technically even the slowest wireless router is faster then Sympatico or Rogers.

That said, $30 is really cheap for a wireless router.
Free bump!

Yes indeed. However the increased bandwidth is useful for file transfers within the network, e.g. to other computers at your home, which are likely Fast Ethernet (100mbps) or maybe more (gigabit is become more and more prevalent)

(on a separate note, Sympatico is releasing 10mbps and 16mbps service soon)

Sympatico Optimax is already available in the downtown cores of Toronto and Montreal.

Clay and myself have a tentative agreement. He's going to be in the west end (mississauga) soon. I'll be getting it from him then.
