Eventually made it to Torrington on Saturday at about 4PM which made it about 10 hours of driving. Woke up early Sunday and washed the cars in preparation for the show.

If it's complete that A4 setup will yield 170hp in this car. Pretty funny.

Turned out to be roughly 18 hours of driving mostly at 5000rpm which has probably given me permanent hearing loss. Ears were ringing for a couple of day after but there were some really nice cars and everyone was super friendly. Thanks to buddies Dave and Richard for convincing me to tag along.

Next time we get together you can have the keys. It was a drag that Dave didn't get any kind of award, his car was every bit as nice as any there IMHO and he drove it almost 20 hours round trip to show it. No doubt that touring was really clean but it was trailered to the show. Doesn't seem fair somehow.

Sweet photos, and definitely respect for driving all that way... maybe my '72 Heidi will be up for the drive next year (If I finish her restoration this winter)

The weather was spotty which kept some people away. More than I've ever seen before in one place.

I still have older pictures from the days when there were a 100 cars. But there are less and less of those cars now. I have atttended perhaps half a dozen of editions, that was until 2 years ago.

Yeah,
I was expecting way more cars but it was still cool to see a couple of Turbo's and Bill's Touring. Still, won't be going next year.

Really nice pictures, have to ask though. One of the pics shows a monster down draft which looks very much like this tank carb my buddy Dave had kicking around his garage a couple of years ago. What kind is it?
