Looking good. What's up with the valve cover though? Why the pontiac blue on the back section? Do you have more of it? I need a bit for my motor (very close to the colour of my old E30)

nice work.. looks like a good job. hope you clear-coated with flex/hardener/reducer so it doesn't crack again. flex in the primer alone won't do much to stop chips/cracks. the lip spoiler on the back finishes the look of the back nicely too. love the rims.

only question.. why didn't you remove the foglights, trim/license plate while doing the work & painting the car? Only takes a few minutes.

now time to fix the crack in the rear bumper, and get some tails to match the car. :)

very nice ride.

thanks for the (+) comments guys!

Justine36:

Yes, i will definitely get it clear coated, im just giving it atleast 24-48 hrs to make sure the primer & finish coat is completely dry. As for the disassembly of the foglights, yeah i did look at them on how to take them off but decided against it as the rash was only on the bottom end of the spoiler. The rear bumper will be done as well, i just ran out of sunlight and white paint. As for the rear lights, i think the clears are played out too much (IMO), i like what i did with the OEM tails so its staying on for now. Finally for the cost of the material so far it has only cost me less than 60 dollars. Im predicting that the total cost with the rear bumper included will be just under 80 dollars, and about 8 hrs of my own time, not bad considering the lowest quote i have recieved from autobodies was 1100 dollars for a complete job.

I just saw this car in person today, and I've gotta say it looked fantastic! *love*

The combination of the body kit and Alpina wheels looks incredible in person on that white car. You can't really appreciate how deep the rear wheel lips are by looking at most pictures of them; you should definitely take a picture of two of those wheels from a rear overhead angle to show them off better. *th-up*

I'm glad I never saw it before you did the work repainting the bumpers because that car made one hell of a first impression on me.

And a shot of a entire car.

Awesome picture. You guys should know he's fixed the rear bumper now, too, and I would say he did an even better job with it than he did with the front.

As for the rear lights, i think the clears are played out too much (IMO), i like what i did with the OEM tails so its staying on for now.

I think someone's gonna change his tune now. :P

Next time I come out to a meet I'll make sure I leave myself enough time to actually wash my car first. *shiner* It was fun meeting you Rommel!

^^^ Thanks Fall (I hope i spelled that right). It was definitely nice meeting and doing business with you. You know..even tho your car wasnt washed up, it still looked great, man that blue color always gets me, and that individual interior color is a keeper, I highly recommend refinishing the blue leather FTW!. I will post up pics of the "new mod" soon.

It's Paul, actually, but that would be how you'd pronounce it if you were Chinese. :P

I've been wanting to buy the Leatherique kit to recolour my seats for ages but the colour matching is a big problem. I need to cut off a piece of the leather from somewhere, but there isn't any extra in the usual spots on my seats. *mumble*

I love mauritius blue, too, but the daytona violet on my M3 is even nicer.

It was fun chatting with you!

Holy crap! That's one serious trip!

I don't think I could make it if I would have to miss work on Monday. :(

I would have to leave the M3 at home if I did go, too, because it doesn't get on the highway without a clear bra on it first.
