I have a Valentine 1 (got it as a gift about 1 month ago). I don't need it as I won't be doing any driving trips anytime soon.
Thinking of selling the unit for $680 firm.

The unit is brand new. Only turned on once to test it (less than 5 min) and comes with everything in the box. I did not register the unit so if you buy it, you can register the unit online with Valentine 1.

If you are interested or have questions, please PM.

don't these sell for $399.99 USD? I could be wrong but I thought these were much cheaper than $680. I'm not dumping on your thread but maybe it's a typo???

It's 399 US. Problem is they won't ship to ontario. You need someone in a legal province or state to recieve it and give it to you.

Just for the record, anybody looking to get one can work out a deal with me here, i don't really mind helping someone out.. I live in AB and detectors can be shipped to my front door.. they are legal here.

radarbuster.com uses ups to ship to Canada. They will ship to Ontario and have never had a problem with Customs. I'll be ordering my STI Driver from Radar Roy. ( $449.00 usd) $680 firm must be a typo, since I can't see paying so much more than it's worth just to get it here, especially when they WILL ship to your door.

The STI is the one that isn't dectable by police, correct?

correct. Check out radarbusters.com for testing videos and recommendations. The STI driver by Beltronics is the only Spectre 3 proof detector currently on the market. It's the ONLY one to use in Ontario. And like I said above....they WILL ship to Ontario.

I used a STI driver in ohio where i was there 2 weeks ago. I am definatly going to purchase one myself. Even tried to get a group buy going, but couldn't get the minimum amount of people.

BUY ONE PEOPLE THEY"RE AWESOME

on that note, V1's aren't worth 680, especially not used.

But also beware. Its not just being detected by a "radar detector detector", its also being spotted visually. The best place to mount a radar detector is on your windshield, and thats not exactly "out of sight". If any officer sees one he has the ability to pull you over and question what it is, and take it from you. I'm so paranoid running my Beltronics 895, that I tend to only run it on highways, as i'd have to keep constant lookout driving around the city for a cop creeping up on me or some shit.

try gutting a 407 transponder and hiding it in there. It will not get any unwanted attention. Break out the dremel tool and MAKE it fit.

Actually they do ship to ontario. Many places do ship to ontario. Its not illegal to own its illegal to use. DId months of research on this

Food for thought

that's a good idea but the 407 transponder is much smaller & has no wires attached to it

Tell the cops it is an original unit, not the revised unit :D if hes dumb enough to be a cop, hes dumb enough to believe that.

The hidden LED thing with the V1 on your rear view mirror is pretty nice, I have seen some awesome set ups with the V1 being hidden.

If that would be possible with an STi, I would definetly get one..

this is the best way to hide a radar detector, with this setup it will display all the info in your OEM cluster http://www.540i6.com/v1.html
