Dave I know how you feel, awhile back I was planning on buying a Cheavy S10 Extreme, shove a 350 in it & slam it, how funny would that look :D
08-29-2006, 10:42 PM
Not so much funny as it would good.
I'm a huge fan of minitrucks.

J, its probably out of my price range if its already modded out.
And I am scared of heights. :D

damn i want an s10.
08-31-2006, 09:01 AM
We don't always get what we want :(
A bagged S10 with a 350 actually has a larger tow capacity than stock. I've been seriously considering buying a truck/SUV and adapting a bag rear suspension out of a 18-wheeler and an auto-level valve so I can tow my e30 without problems.
minitrucks are cool...
but air ride is so expansive!
btw the benz is awesome
almost look like one of those hood ride vws

^^^^it is the best set-up going other then a soild set-up....
The most expensive part of an air bag set up is the compressor. The bags, lines, valves, etc can all be sources from heavy trucks for cheap.
08-31-2006, 01:05 PM
S10s look crazy modded!!!
08-31-2006, 01:38 PM
I have to post pics of my old ride, before the bimmer. 1989 chevy s10. fresh coat of blue paint, 2" drop in the front, 4" drop in the rear, Camaro IROC rims, crystal corners, etc. oh and the best part! 2.5 L 4 cyl engine! *shiner*
08-31-2006, 03:23 PM
^^^^it was a cruiser not a speed demon at that point......if and when I get my truck it will have a stock motor too....but it is all about the audio.......
08-31-2006, 03:44 PM
Bags are expensive depending on how you do it.
You can do a are over leaf setup for pretty damn cheap, but you will have axle wrap like a mother ****er.
3 links are not too expensive, 4 and 5 links get pricey (hym joints are not cheap).
If I get a truck the motor will not be stock if all goes well. I just need a clean starting point.
08-31-2006, 03:47 PM
^^^C-notching the frame is also not cheap, from what i hear
08-31-2006, 05:07 PM
Depends where you get it done, I can weld, I have friends that can weld (they also work on rigs like Tomek) so I would do it myself

for the longest time, I've been wanting air ride on my Volvo like the praxair system.
and I love minitrucks, slam dualies are like hot sex for me, like you pour wax on the woman's body while its hot then u **** her while the wax is still hot.
notch frames are like shaved pussies, I love 'em.

^^^go with AIR RIDE......
i almost got an extreme...i was gunna run full fast air bags ...and do a body drop...only problem is maintance..(since valves blow) anddd cost...and the ride on a bagged vehicle is shit...hydraulics at least..air ride isnt so bad
i was gunna slam my sport trac ...but id need to get the front cross members off a mustang....and alot of work needed to be done..
my gfs sellin her jimmy btw..it only has 15,000km...put some lowered leaf springs, a flip kit..rims...DONE
09-04-2006, 05:49 PM
what year jimmy and how many doors, and 4wd or 2wd.
its tinted..perfect condition
09-04-2006, 10:43 PM
yes :( unfortunately....
well its 2 wheel all the time unless you turn it to 4 wheel...however although this is a pain to bag..it can still be done..

Nice trucks, there was a dude here in Ottawa with a dumped truck. He made the frame a bit closer to the ground. He would park it and dump it as low as he could, the 4 wheels off the ground. He called that his anti-teft device.
My dad had a 1 ton dually 454, that was dumped, running on air bags. The frame was around 9" from the ground. The springs ran under the diff. It used to be one of Ron Fellows trucks that pulled a car trailer...See if I could find some pics of that beast...on a good day 13 MPG....
