Sorry to hear what happened to your engine hugo!

I thought you had a new one lined up, or are you still shopping?

One deal fell through, I've got another one I'm eyeing in Indiana, but if I can buy "locally" (read "Canada") for possible lower miles, I'll go that route, and then ship the car to Long Island. :)

Further to our PMs, consider the engine sold to me. Call me for the final details, shipping arrangements, etc.

I can send the payment ASAP.

You should have the work done here in Toronto. It'll be way cheaper than shipping everything down to the USA and there is a quality shop which you can actually trust and wont take you for a ride either!

Best of luck my friend!

I'll look into it. The deal I'm getting in the US is pretty sweet. Bunch of bf.c friends involved, etc... Got a place in particular to recommend?

I think once you factor in shipping of both items in to the US any deal you get will most likely be eaten by shipping costs. Since the engine is already in ontario and Montreal is only like 5 hrs away i cant see it being more expensive than shipping it all.

I think that it shouldnt be anything too involved since it is a straight engine swap and its an s52 for an s52. You're probably looking at like 800-1000 CAD for the work unless you have something else up your sleeve ;)

Ask for Rocco and tell him Joe sent you. I swear by these guys and they're the only ones who i will let touch my bimmers!

Well, I'm in Quebec City, so TO is more like 9 hours or so.

Also, I will have it shipped here, and the car will be towed on a flatbed to the US, courtesy of a friend, who will also load the engine in his pick up truck.

See where I'm going with this? *angel*

Of course, if having it done in TO comes out cheaper, I will do it there...
