I bought a 16'' Spal fan, Just over 2'' deep.

M20s dont have much room up front. But i haven't received it yet, shipping is taking too damn long.

i was also thinking to turn the aux. fan into an electrial cooling fan...even try to mount it in the engine bay right against the rad...would it provide sufficient cooling? cooling better than the stock belt fan?? yee or nay......

you have to put the fan on the infront of rad if you can, that is how I did it....

I doubt paul's car puts out more heat than any standard M20B25. I ran without a engine fan for a while, it was fine till i hit stop and go.

An E30 with a lower temp coolant switch (80/88) and a rewired stock aux fan (to switch on full speed at 80) doesn't even need a clutch fan.

I can't call overkill on cooling equipment, but I personally wouldn't bother upgrading hardware.

Oh really, is that why you have a cracked cylinder head?

lol its always better to be safe than sorry.
But ya there is nothing wrong with our cooling systems actually, as long as they are working properly they are more than adequte.

I just wanted to be cool :D and I've always wanted to try out an electric fan, hook one up and fiqure out how they work. Thats why i was itching to do it to my car, even though I could have just replaced the fan clutch.

Eh, i just dont like that gauge slowly creeping up sometimes.

But i haven't recieve the damn thing yet, i think its been 3 weeks. someone is gonna have some explaining to do if i dont see it soon.

for mine ive decided to go the way paul has his.......gonna move & mount my aux fan to the other side of the rad, i grabbed some switches and wiring that im gonna use so i can control the fan from the driver's seat:cool: i tried looking for a 2-stage switch thing so i can have the fan on low speed and high speed but for now it will only stay on high when i turn it on...a very simple electic fan....*wave*

I have wanted to do this for a while. I have already taken the aux fan and AC parts. I also want to take the fan clutch off, how do I do that? From there I want a flex a lite fan. But what do you suggest a pusher or a puller?

i would say a puller to pull in cooler air when your in heavy traffic casue thats when the tad overheating begins....
