So I got tired of waiting and took a trip to the bank friday to withdraw some cash... I was determined to buy a e36 that same day... After going from dealer to dealer, I finally found one that i wanted, but the price was too high. He wouldn't move on the price so after my cusin' finished peeing on the side of the dealership (which he saw lol), we left. We went across the city to the westend and found a nice little 320 and decided to take it. It's nothing too exciting yet, but it was a pretty clean ride. It was already lowered, came with a system and a ghetto dvd set up on the dash.

Here are some pictures taken with my phone. I'll post up better pictures sunday or monday once it's cleaned up.

After going to the bank to pick up the dough.

I'm prolly gonna go paint the front, skirts, rear, black soon. How much does that usually cost?

$350+ usually. Painting plastic takes a bit more prep work, and some extra paint steps.

Justin, how come some e36 have plastic rockers, and mine has metal? I thought the older ones had plastic.

btw, you're missing a windshield wiper buddy! what year is it? Price? no rust?

I picked it up for 4700 before tax. But I got rapped with tax and insurance.

It is pretty mint still, not a scratch or dent on the body and the same goes for the interior. The only thing that I will have to fix is the drivers seat, which as some tears, but the rest are mint.

Whoever owned it before, thought it was a good idea to do a half ass dvd installation, so I'm gonna remove it for now.

The car as 240k but runs like it's in it's early 100sk... pulls hard and sounds mean.

Every Option is fully working. I'll take some pics of the engine bay later... you can almost eat of it.

Can you or anyone recommend any good places to get it done quickly.... I'll like to get it taken care of asap. Also if anyone is selling any fronts, sides or rear that's already painted black.. you need to pm me.

I'll post some interior pictures monday. It's still at the dealer. I left it there for him to take care of the plates, fix e-brake hand, change tires and for him to clean it up. Also I'm getting him to raise the front end (It was lowered), cause I doubt it will get over the speed bumps in my area.

ummm..unless that glass is giving thr illusion that the pile of money is bigger, that looks like alot more than 4700!!

R.S.C
08-13-2006, 11:53 PM
lol, yea, there was alot more than 4700, I had to go to three banks to take out the amount that I wanted... appearently there is a daily limit, if you show up i just ask for all that much money, you need to tell them 2 bus days in advance... well for CIBC anyways.

I was ready to drop a pretty dime on a nice e36... but found one for 4700 I liked so I took it.

Edit: Is it me or does that fifty look like BUSH :S LOL hmm, actually it looks like Capt. Kirk :huh?:

Just take the speed bumps one wheel at a time and you should be fine. If you take them head on with both wheels going up the speed bump at the same time then you most likely WILL bottom out on the speed bumps! Leave it the way it is for now!

Congrats on the buy. Welcome to the E36 320i club!

yea I left the it lowered.... I just took it home today... I was able to get into my building without bottoming out.... but barly...

But I'll be taking it back to the dealer in the morning... the engine temp gauge goes to red after about and hour an a half of driving.... It could be a bad sensor... or something to do with the radiator I think... so hopefully that gets sorted out tomorrow other wise it's great. *love*

If anyone has had problems like this before lemme know what was the cause and fix... so I can atleast look like I know what I'm talkin about when I take it in tomorrow lol

Only stalled twice taking it home... ok maybe 4 times :( ... just learning manual

Mine was overheating right after I bought it too, so I checked my coolant... apparently I was missing 3 litres. Could be that...

SO I pack my car up with a couple cases of booze and me an one of ma boys were on our way to the cottage to meet up with some ppl for a few days of drinking....

But by the time we got to around 401 and Harmony or something like that.... I looked in the rearview and saw nothing but white smoke coming outta the rear... then two seconds later smoke form the engine bay... All traffic had to stop so we could get the car over to the side of the road cause I was on the far left lane.. lol

We were there about 2 hours before we got towed at around 11:30. Traffic was at a crawl. We towed the car back to the dealership at Finch and Keele for $200 *sad*

And the to top it off, the tow truck driving kept telling me how horrible BMW's where and how he's always picking them up all the time. :(

Here are some pics with one of my boys posing by my car on the tow truck.. lol.... I would taken some pictures of the smoke but I was freakin out at the time.

Those aren't sideskirts, they are rockers and not removable. Side skirts add on top of that.
