I assume you've got chrome bumpers? If so I made a thread in the for sale section saying I have one right now and that I want to just swap it for the brackets. If you do in fact have chrome bumpers let me know and I can send it out to you on greyhound cod shipment. That way I just throw it on the bus and you send me the brackets you're currently using. On and by the way......it's free *th-up*

What are you going to tow with a 318i? Weak motor, weak brakes.

You don't need a semi to pull a small load. I've got a 320i with about the same power and drums in the rear and I've pulled a trailer with 3 or 4 wheel barrow loads of dirt/rock fill. It's not the best thing, but it'll get the job done if you can't afford a dedicated trailer vehicle or just need to pull something occasionally.

Chked for the fun of it and no manuf. makes a hitch for an e30. all discontinued. Good luck finding one.

The guy's got a touring e30........that's like an instant extra 150hp and 200 cool points. He could do it, in a parking lot, on flat ground, going straight, in first gear, with 200ft to stop from 5km/h :D

Dude, look at the wheels. Now look up Alex Schipkov. Now look up the S5x under the hood. That thing could actually pull that trailer and stop it, but it wouldn't be safe at high speeds. Everyone does it in europe anyway.

Haul dirt? I just pay the landscape company $40 and they deliver it. And I don't have to buy a hitch or load it up.

I bought this DALAN Hitch at a local Trailer Dealer. He ordered it and it was here in three days. It was actually cheaper there than the add on hitch-web said.

I think with the wiring harness/relay it came to about CA$300. I installed it myself, very easy to do.

I need it for a tire trailer, (4 tires, toolbox, 2 gas cans)

Sorry dude, I was sick of the bracket and plug in hanging down so it's not there anymore. Half of the hitch still is though :D

(if you don't understand the hitch has been butchered and choped up)

I've NEVER seen an E30 with a hitch here in Canada yet! Except for some euro imports like mine. I didn't think they made them. I got a hitch for my euro Golf GTD and the thing doesn't fit! I think it might be something with the euro bumper that might a difference.

Try eBay.de or eBay.co.uk and see what you come up with. At least you'll get a hitch that looks awesome IMO.

I had a 4 door before my cabrio and i put a hitch on mine. I just bought a reese one from canadian tire for an 87 jetta and modified it. All I did was take an inch out on each side and reweld it. Then bolt it to the rear frame.

I am looking at my bmw cd I just got which completely lists everything that was available for the E30 for your 318 and a hitch is available the part number is
71 60 1 126 875. You can also get a cover for the ball. I suggest calling BMW canada in whitby and seeing if they have one in the wharehouse, and if so if its really old stock they might sell it to you for extremely cheap.

I already managed to get rearended in this car. It THANKFULLY didn't damage my hitch as I do use it for my jetski and stuff. It went through the guy's front bumper pretty good though.
