Alright, I bought my M3 and i think i am going to be supercharging it.

What, if any, supercharger kits would be best suited for this beast? *angel*

Do you know anyone with one for sale? *wave*

what year M3? S/C that come to mind is AA or RMS, you should also ask this in the Force Induction section

Honestly, if you have the money, pick up a twin screw. Both AA and Eurosport make twin screw kits for the M3. You can thank me after the first time you floor it.

Thinair, How much am i looking at, roughly, for one of those?

I think the twin screw goes for about $8000. I sounds sick and has instant power.

Thinair is right, twinscrew is the way to go, here's the info from AA website http://www.activeautowerke.com/supercharger/tse36m3/main.php

Is there any reason you like theirs over AA?

well the 2 things I can see the difference is Eurosport S/C produces more HP & is cheaper than the AA S/C

one last question, when it comes to the flywheel, pressure plate, etc and im fairly good to go with what is there (stock parts) or would those pretty much fry under the load?

I dont intent to beat the hell out of the car either ;)

thinair

Well, speaking strictly numbers, the eurosport makes about 30rwhp more then the AA stg 2. Although appearently the AA makes power a little earlier.

I've followed the development of this blower for a very long time now. It's been tested hard, at long track events for example. One guy with an ZM3 has already logged countless miles and has yet to have an issue. There is also talk of a 2.3L compressor for stage 2 versus the 1.7L for more power.

I'm pretty sure you can't go wrong with either one right now, and they're both on sale. You're looking at about $8500CDN plus install right now.

Thanks for the info thinair,

I think i will probably go with the Eurosport one if i do SC the car. I gotta talk to rocco and see what he would charge to install the kit as well as see if i can get a friend to bring the shit across the border for me.

Hopefully they can give me the same deal in a few days

joe, you're taking me for a spin as soon as this is all said and done for.

If you need more reviews of the eurosport kit, check out bf.c. from what i've read, they're almost exclusivley all in praise of it.

You got it bro!

Hopefully the transfer tax isnt too much and i can still afford to drop the SC in. I'll probably put it on my CC then work on paying it off but all in all i think i'm looking at roughly 11k to buy, clear customs, and install the shit which is almost as much as i paid for the car.

Just thinking about it i get this feeling inside and when i get that feeling i usually end up doing it ;)

Have the car reappraised for $2000, pay taxes on that, then have it appraised with the turbo for 25K$

Rocky's got a good guy i believe, if he can't hook you up i'll find out my guy.

Anyone will do it man, and trust me, having a car appraised for a low amount is no big scam. Point out EVERYTHING that's wrong with it, it'll get you down there.

But if the car is in the states, you'll need an appraiser over there.

see, this is what will happen joe. ^^that, is called addiction.

start with a 325. mod the 325. not enough, m3 swap. Mod the m3. Boost the m3. Not enough

it will happen to you too, just get the best kit out there, that way you can't have regrets. (until DA makes up another kit, this one makes 300000 RWHP)

You decide wether you're going to rebuild before or after yet joe? Your s52 pulls plenty hard, but ripping apart your car once it already has a t/s on it? do you actually see yourself not driving the car for a week so you can rebuild everything?

I am NOT going to rebuild the engine. Talking to Josh from EuroSport, it isnt recommended that you crack a perfectly good engine open and rebuild it. He said bmw makes a great engine as it is and that if there isnt any wrong with it or if i am not planning on changing the internals of the engine that i should leave it alone. Im sure you can attest to nothing being wrong with that engine :D

dont crack the engine, if you passed the compression test than dont bother, its wasted money. if eurosport says you need to change the headgasket or studs etc than do so but otherwise dont crack the engine.

and im just as excited as you are to get it, man i know how i felt when i ordered my C/F S/C.

So i get the receipt today of them hammering my card + their printed statement and i think to myself, it's going to be here soon!! So i call them up only to find out that it'll hopefully be shipped out in the begining of sept. :(

I was going to wait to do my clutch/flywheel, SS lines, etc for when it came in but that doesnt look good but it might have worked out for the better since it gives me some time to break the new clutch in. *th-up*

Hopefully by mid sept i should have just about everything done to the car just in time to store it for the winter :puke: *sad* *thmbsdwn*

Axxe: The M3 has been on my wishlist for years. Quite honestly, it is my dream car unless i strike it rich and get some high end exotics!

Red Baron: You have absolutely no idea how antsy i am. I am emailin the guys every day asking if they're ready to ship!!! Once this is over i'll be broke but will have a sweet ride! :)

Pure GQ: I wish Eurosport had it laying around as well so that they would have shipped it already and it would be on the car! In a way i am glad thay they didnt since it'll give me some time to install the clutch and break it in :)

I've never been in a Turbo'd/SC Car so this is a whole new experience for me and its one i cannot wait for!!

From everything i've been reading a TS SC is the best choice of SC to go with. Who's TS SC you decide to pickup is up in the air though.

Pure GQ: If you decide to go with a Eurosport TS SC add 2+ months to actually get the unit and that may be generous as i've been reading of people who ordered it in may and are only getting it now :(
