After many months of planning, the time has come to announce, the YKW Autocross Championship @ the Powerade Center, Sunday August 20, 2006!

This one day Championship competition will be elimination style (ie. World Cup) where the top driver will win a free set of wheels, in any style, from YKW Motorsports!

Timing will be done via a professonal electronic photo-eye sensor accurate to ten thousands of a second as well as the implementation of PAX factoring to ensure fairness and giving equal opportunity for any car to win the top prize!

Registration limited to 80 cars, so register online NOW.

Do YOU got what it takes???

Yes, it's going to be quite a wide course to let some of the supercars we got comming out already stretch their legs a little. *th-up*

There are a few other autoX's going on before ours...there is one this Sunday at Bronte Go station.
http://www.wiredmotorsports.com/pitl/ The guy who runs it is a great guy, he helped us out when we were planning our autoX

Or you can just go to any other GO station at night...they are mostly deserted... *angel*

Essentially any helmet will do as long as it's not those motorcycle beanies...

We will also have loaner helmets available if you don't have one. *th-up*

Thanks for everyone who showed up! The amount of people who showed really overwhelmed the staff for the first bit as the timer started giving us trouble wouldn't let us start the next car before the first car finished, which forced us to have to manually arm the timer every time and manually input and factor times, but afterwards, things started to go smoothly and get real exciting!

The racing was SUPER close and ultra fast right till the end- with the factored times for those who were able to advance past the quarter-finals and the final showdown within hundreths of a second of each other!

Congratulations to Ryan, #137, driving a Silver Chevrolet Cobalt SS- he goes home with the Championship Trophy and a new set of rims!

Special thanks to Empowerd for his help in designing the track! *th-up*

Also a special thanks to the Mazda Sportscars Owners Club for lending us their massive amount of pylons!

Pictures and results will be posted up on the website really soon!

Thanks again, and hope to see everyone out again next year!
