I've got a set of wheels with machined lip for my white E30 vert. The centers are regular silver color.

I was thinking of using a the following colors to provide some contrast, as the silver centers don't have enough contrast with the white car:

- gunmetal grey (darkest)
- mineral grey (darker)
- titanium grey (least dark)

I'm not a fan of the very dark / black centers on white cars. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Pictures would help too.

Thanks
Rod

You sure you don't like machined lips with black centers on a
white vert?
One of my all time favorite e30's.

Daves were painted lips, or heavily oxidized.

Polished on those wheels looks horrid IMO.

edit: man look how LID Dave's lights were.

The lips are brushed not oxidized and they looked very good like that.

Ah... pics... well this car is a work in progress. I'm refinishing the wheels so I will post a pic after that's done. I'm kicking myself for not taking before and after pics of the whole car, it's been quite a restoration.

As for the black center wheels... I don't like that look. Not sure why, but it just doesn't do it for me.

that E30 looks awsome.... nice and clean!

I'd def. get rid of that ugly 3rd brake light tho.

this style looks decent if you're concerned with contrast:
