I have a fellow E30 vert owner that is thinking of putting in a stroker engine. I have a couple of questions on his behalf:

1. How would this work with an automatic transmission? Would it be able to handle it?

2. Thoughts on buying a used stroker engine? How can you tell the quality of the build?

3. What other items should come with a used stroker engine... DME, Chip, AFM, etc?

4. Would the frame of a vert be able to handle the torque of the stroker?

Thanks gang,

Rod

just build one on your own, then you know the quality, and it going on to a AUTO,that is a wast of a good motor.......

yea paul has a point...if you go far enough to build an 2.7 stroker, you might as well do a tranny swap so you can get your moneys' worth and really be able to enjoy the motor compared to mating up the motor with a auto tranny....

I agree with you guys, but to each his own. Not my car... he's looking for something to drop in (not build) and wants some more power.
