Both your car's are looking good. If i can offer a suggestion though, some sideskirts would complete the look of your car. Especially b/c the back and front skirts are low and all-white. props to 2 nice e30's*th-up*

^^^ agreed. I love both the cars, although i do think some side skirts on the white vert would finish it off nicely. Either mtech 2 skirts, just the lower part or "is" side skirts.

Thanks for the compliments, guys.

This was supposed to be a basic bumper swap but it turned into a lot more. You younger guys may not know this yet, but when you get "older" and have a young family, a property to take care of, and all that stuff, spending time with a good friend can be rare. Same goes for putting in the time needed on the car. There's always something more urgent to do. Well, I'm lucky to have a great bud like Sly, who's a true E30 God. He has three of each E30 part, has the tools, the knowledge and experience of a full-time BMW tech and, most importantly, the generosity to share all these things. So we spent a couple of days sprucing my Bimmer up (and having loads of fun doing it) and it was well worth it. The car looks great, runs great and I had a blast hanging out with a great guy and learning all sorts of stuff from him.

So thanks again, Sly. You're a true friend and I appreciate it. *th-up*

Thanks also to Raphael for the valence. That thing is in top shape and looks stunning.

Jay is right, the side skirts are Hartge.

And I agree with those who say that Sly's cabrio would look even hotter (if that is possible) with side skirts. I've been workin' on him about that. :P

By the way, after those pics were taken, I put in MHW smoked turn signals from AMS.

Props to both of you.. I don't have a family yet, and I wonder how I ever possibly could! Between work, the house (I swear my grass grows 1" per day) plus the cars, and my wife and I both have motorbikes, and family that all live 1 hour away, it seems like our whole lives are already planned out for us.

Anyway, I got the warm fuzzies from this post. Good stuff.

I am not even that old and find it hard to find time to work on my car.

My air dam is still not on, and I need to do my ball joints. Oh well August..

I like the botox sig.

I wonder if mine are Hartge too. I bought my car with an ACS rear apron, front skirt (not shown) and the sideskirts which i assumed were ACS with the rest of the kit. Maybe they are Hartge? Anyway I can check for sure by physically looking?

Mine have the Hartge logo "etched" (for lack of a better term) in the front part of the skirt, below the rear section of the front fender.

Knock offs or not, who cares, they look great dude.

Maybe take a pic down the side of the car so we can see the profile a bit more, and another shot of the caps at the end (where you can usually see defects from molding a fiberglass copy).

Do try to use the 'macro' function on your camera though. *wiggle* :D

Edit: sorry for the contribution to the thread-jack. BobLoblaw's car still looks good. :)

Thanks dude. I can post some more pics later when I get home.

What do you mean by 'macro' function. I just leave the camera on 'auto' then point and shoot. I have 13 different settings, but only use the one.:D

There is a setting on your camera called macro that enables close up shots, from 5 to 50cm, to be taken in focus. Usually, select macro, allow the autofocus to focus the camera and take your shot, it will come out clear. On some cameras, the autofocus doesn't work on macro, in which case you use manual focus.

OMG, what a difference! You can even see dust, or is it rubber lol that you can't on the other pic. Sorry if i'm hijacking this thread but thanks for the tip. I guess i should've opened the owners manual a long time ago.:D
