Just curious. I have a the 2.7 stroker you said, but I am still not really happy with the power. I'm guessing it's a mid-low 15 second car, but it's nowhere near my Civic yet. How can I get about 50 more hp. I think I'd be happy for the rest of the summer if I had at elast 50 more horsepower. How much would one of those markD chips give me? And if it's just a chip that alters the fuel map, can I just run a SAFC to do the same thing?

2.7 stroker.....

to get some good power:
m30 afm
s50 injectors
cai (with heat shild)
headers
full exhaust (stright pipe)
chip
adjustable fuel presure regulator
msd blaster coil
wires,and bosch platnum 2 plug
and dont forget a 3.73:1 or 4.10:1 diff

with that list, and a few other littlethings, you will definityl be happy with the power the motor will give. I have this list, with a shricks 272 cam, and ported head. I am very happy with the motor, and luts just say that, mustangs, dont have to much fun with me *smoke*

Don't build some halfass setup like has been suggested.. do it right or don't do it at all.

Why is that a half assed setup? Not everyone has time, purpose and/or money to do EVERYTHING.

I'm seriously looking at the 3l I.E. kit. Pistons are ony 1mm +and youu can have pretty much you choice of pistons for the same price.

Despite the fact paul has taken me in a boot in his e30, and me very much being able to appreciate what a m20 stroker can do, why not just throw a m50 in? wouldn't it be cheaper? i know paul spent a small fortune on his stroker kit, but i think that was because of sentimental value for the car. Otherwise you can get a reasonably low mileage m50 and just swap that in

Jordan

Why? Mainly because M50's suck, and no the swaps can easily out spend a decent M20 stroker for the same or less power.

I find it funny you say Paul's spent a small fortune on his, as his is one of the budget beater builds.

well jordan, Y is it a halk ass list. I was jsut trowing some stuff out to give the man an idea or 2 of what ha can do to get some power.

To set it straight, my motor is not a half ass build. Y u ask, well let me tell you. I have a 2.7L stroker sitting in my car right now, basic motor with that list, and a few other things, but next to my car in my garage (thanx to a few friends of mine) a have a 3.0L strocker motor sitting there just waiting for the fall to drop into place. In my 3.0L, i hav

sorry, i pressed enter by acedent, to finish that list here u go:

-524 TD crank
-forged conecting rods
-high comp pistions
-fully built cylender head with 282 shricks cam, bigger valves 5 angle valve grind port and polished head, BMP performance rockers.....and the lsit goes on for the head.
-waiting for my multi-thorttle intake to come in from powder coat(custom made by me)
-Centerforce duel friction clutch
-light weight fly wheel
-4.10:1 diff
-megasquirt (lookin for older lab top to run program, can anyone help)
....and the list goes on.....but u get the point of it.....my first stroker nor the second are HALF-ASS, i do not alaw half ass shit in my car!!!!

Your first stroker is halfass.

Your second... well i hope you build engines better then you speak teh Engrish.

Let me know what you put down at the rear wheels for HP/TQ on your new build, I bet you won't beat my old 2.8L in specific output, and likely won't surpass its rear wheel figures much if at all.

You're over using the 'half assed' term. There are people that are also budget minded.

Uh huh.. I understand. But building a super eta "stroker" is halfassed, and it is as defined NOT A STROKER either.
