View Full Version : Sloppy shifter, which bushings?

06-25-2006, 02:36 PM
The shifter on my 325e is REALLY sloppy. So sloppy in fact, that I can't tell which gear I'm in a lot of the time. Can someone point out what bushings I may need from this picture? Thanks

I believe there's a complete kit available at the dealer. While you're there though, you might as well throw in a short shift kit. Search the forums 'cause there were some threads about different ssk's for e30's some time ago ago. I think the short throw Z3 oem shifter fits on e30's and is pretty cheap. Ask bmwm5lover, i'm pretty sure he did that swap. Trust me, you won't regret it.

Those are the ones to get for sure.

#4 specially..If you look, it might be gone completely."the little rubber piece inside".
Instead of replacing it, i got some type of very hard Urethane silicone that they use when they repalce a windshield and i put some in there...WOW WOW WOW What a diference..
