I have two sets of 5 Series wheels - tires are not very good, expect to change them. They are OEM, I do not know what models they are and they are both 17" with little wear.

$600 for the first set and $1000 for the second set.

Alot of fender rolling and possible a stronger rear end.. 5 Series has a very low offset at about 20ET ... E36's have a very high offset at about 40ET ... Means the wheels stick out that much more.. so you might need wider fenders and a stronger rear end...

Might be a stupid question but whay a stronger rear end? how does that relate to the offset?

Well... Since the wheels are out farther it puts a larger stress on the rear end because the 3 Series was never meant to have that high of an offset.. The stress could be next to minimal, but if there is something wrong with the rear end it could cause a failure...

All PM's have been read, but need to clarify something.

I have been offered $700 for the style 5 - the first set, but the guy is in Ottawa and wants me to wait until next week so he can pick up. I told him I do not want to wait that long, so if someone in T.O matches and picks up tomorrow, it's theirs, if not I wait.

How bad or good are the tires on the style 5's? How much use would I get out of them roughly?

You would not get much wear out of the rear, the front maybe this summer.
