Im contemplating getting a Big Bore Throttle body from West Coast Riots

Apparently it is a much talked about throttle body on bimemrforums and does not need software and throttle response is greatly improved, Some people make up to 8 whp with asc delete although I think that is being a bit optamistic.

I wanted to see if anyone is interested in the throttle body since I think the price is pretty cheap compared to the other alternative Dinan which is smaller and more expensive.

Let me know if anyone is interested and maybe I can see if the guys there will give us a discounted price. Apparently works better on OBD1 engines but they have been proven to work extremely well on the OBD2 comps.

just take your stock one to a machine shop and let them bore it out*th-up*

^^ wouldn't you need a bigger flap with a bored TB?

i'd be interested dependent on the price. Gains will depend on other mods that have to do with the airflow through the engine (i.e CAI, HFM, exhaust, cams, injectors, NA enginework like bigger valves etc, and of course proper tunning for all that)

I need to call Todd up and see what he can do.... I think typically OBD1 throttle bodies are cheaper than the OBD2.

Ill call him and let you guys know

Im wondering what the cost of one for an e30 would be? Would they even make one?

if u take it to a machine shop they make the bigger flap too ..

(i might be selling a performace obd1 tB soon )

we could do a group buy and ask randy to bore them out.

i heard that m20 doesn't really flow too well inside, besides with the restrictive AFM i think there would be zero gain

How big is the bore on the biggest one for OBD1 (ie S50)? Is it 70mm?

so here is the pricing in case anyone is interested?

So if there are 3 obd1 throttle bodies, then the price is 165 US a throttle body and you have to give them your core.

3 obd2 throttle bodies would cost 220 and must return the core.

Let me know who is interested?

Here is a pic from Riot racing of their OBD2 throttle body, apparently the black stuff is a new sealant that they are testing????? Apparently it provides an airtight seal? I have no idea but if anyone has questions, here is the link to west coast riots

Good pricing! Hard to compete with.... I bore out throttle bodies for around $250 CDN (OBD-1). It's not an easy job, but mine are "air tight" when closed with no black sealant. PM me for details.
