eBay ad for an m3 with 230,000 miles / 370,000km's. I wonder if it had the rod bearing recall :)

Anyone know of any with higher mileage - these will almost be affordable as a daily driver once the e92 m3 drives prices down alittle more.

Yes...it is the second question that was asked of the seller at the bottom. Done at 182K miles.

I saw a 528 with 501k on the clock running fairly good considering. All original engine, I saw that when I was shopping around for mine.

GEEEEZE!

That is a LOT mileage, and it must be nice to be a VP of an insurance company. Saves so much money that all he can afford to smoke ONLY cigars!

Why not?

If you pick this car up for UNDER 20, you can get a NEW engine, and replace all bushings and things and STILL make it cheaper than buying one used at the current market value!

haha I'm not gonna bid on it; just saying the motors look like they're durable.

Yea exactly, pickt up for under 20,000 your safe.

its not like those 370,000kms were put on the car over a period of 10 years thru winter and stuff.

why not just rebuild that s54?

honestly before i saw a compression test, and had someone inspect the motor, i wouldn't give up on this car.

having said that, my car has 1/2 as many clicks, and im already thinking about a rebuild in a few years

as long as the engine has been maintain properly, it should able to go another 400,000.
